Take a tour with a Native Tucson educator!
If you want to learn about Tucson history and culture, have fun and connect with like minded people this is the tour for you!

By the end of this tour you will be enchanted by Tucson's rich history and beautiful colorful neighborhoods.
This is a driving (and some light walking) tour.
We will take a pleasant stroll in one colorful historic street admiring the desert plants and enjoying the features and architecture of a Tucson Historic barrio and stop at other historic landmarks.
We will explore Tucson's history and architecture that dates back to the early 1770s, we will be talking and admiring the beauty of desert plants. A tour filled with stories, fun facts and lots of learned filled with fun. If we are lucky we will get invited to a home tour or talk to local.
We will drive to different locations. If you dont have transportation please message me

What to expect
Stop At: Mercado San Agustin, 100 S Avenida Del Convento Suite 200, Tucson, AZ 85745-2958
This is where we will meet and the tour also ends here.
We will learn about the market and visit some of the shops inside the market.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Barrio Historico, Near 100 South Stone Ave Between I-10 and Stone Ave, Cushing and 17th Street, Tucson, AZ 85701
Tucson historic neighborhood Barrio Viejo, meaning Old Neighborhood.
We will drive down the streets of Barrio Viejo while tour guide comments on the architecture and history of the neighborhood.
We will take a light walk in a colorful street.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: El Tiradito Shrine, 400 S Main Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701-2228
This is my favorite stop! Come prepared with a wish in mind to leave at the shrine.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Hotel Congress, 311 E Congress St, Tucson, AZ 85701, USA
Hotel Congress is famous for many good things, did you know this is were John Dillingers gang got caught? We will talk about this and the other reasons this Hotel is so special. Established in 1919.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Presidio San Agustin del Tucson, 196 N Court Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701-1002
We will drive by El Presidio Museum and its charming colorful neighborhood.
Duration: 7 minutes
Stop At: Pima County Historic Courthouse, 115 N Church Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701, USA
The Pima County Historic Courthouse is among Tucson’s most beloved landmarks. Designed by architect Roy Place, this iconic Spanish Colonial Revival-styled structure was built in 1929 and remained in service for an 86-year span.
Duration: 10 minutes

• Carne Asada Tacos (grilled beef tacos) - We will end the tour with delicious authentic Sonoran Tacos at a "hole in the wall" taco shop recommended by Food and Wine Magazine in Spring 2022.
This is where we will meet and the tour also ends here.

My favorite part was learning about Mexican architecture and the special doors they used foe entrance to their property. Also much about Tucson history. Just walking this area without Priscilla and her knowledge and stories it would have meant nothing.

Priscilla's knowledge and enthusiasm was great. I highly recommend this tour as soon as you can in your visit to Tucson so you can follow up on all her recommended locations and FOOD!

We had a wonderful tour with Raquel. She was warm, friendly and enthusiastic! Loved the Mexican bakery treat and exploring the beautiful Tucson neighborhoods and homes.

Priscilla was energetic, fun, informative and organized. Despite rainy cold weather she adjusted smoothly and she got everything in for us. Loved the lovely old homes and the Sonoran hot dog redtajrant.

Priscilla uses her teaching experience to provide an interesting, educational, and fun tour for visitors to the Tucson area. This is my second visit to Tucson and Priscilla's tour really helped me learn about the area and its rich culture and history. Highly recommended tour!
