The Tartufaro will guide you in the hunt of this black diamond of the kitchen in the woods and lands surrounding an old Winery in Verona.
Taste fresh local truffles and pair them with the famous Amarone wine!

What to expect
After the hunt, enjoy a pairing of Amarone wine and truffles with the expert and learn about the flavors and aromas of the Valpolicella region.
Discover the intense aromas of the forest and how they combine with the incredible fragrances of Amarone wine. Savor all of these flavors from an amazing terrace which overlooks the magnificent Valpolicella region.
Please note, truffle hunting is subject to seasonal closure and availabilities. In this instance, only the excursion could be replaced with a visit to the vineyard, the cellars, the farmhouse.

From the moment you arrive to every minute you spend in Santa Maria Valverde - it is time filled with knowledge, beauty and wonderful tastes. The truffle hunting experience is made special by three things: a very knowledgeable host, fantastic lively and hard working dog (Brozie) and the pasta you have afterwords with the truffles. Nothing is too much for the family who run this vineyard: from delicious food to mini lessons in wine making to the tour of the Amarone prosecution. The wine itself is out of this world. You learn a lot, you laugh a lot and you spend every minute in the most friendly and beautiful atmosphere. Special thank you to Cicillia (it was her second day working) who gave us a wealth of knowledge about the love and care that goes into making the wine. Cicillia-you were great! Thank you all very much for an experience that will stay with us for years to come!We went truffle hunting and wine tasting. It was a small group led by the truffle hunter and Jacopo and of course the truffle dog. Afterwards we got to eat a truffle on some pasta they cooked and tasted two of their wines. All very nice.

This experience was absolutely incredible! We had a wonderful time with Jacopo and the truffle hunter. It was a unique experience that we would not be able to find on our own. Ilaria is a great host - so friendly and knowledgeable. They shared their wisdom one-on-one with us, answering all our questions, and were attentive to all our needs. Best of all was wine tasting in the winery, their family business, and eating the truffles: amazing!! The truffles with a glass of Amarone were exquisite. We enjoyed it on an amazing terrace on Valpolicella hills, another highlight of the winery. Absolutely amazing day with Jacopo and his family! The vineyard is stunning, and the wine just wonderful. We were sitting out on the terrace looking out over the hills of Valpolicella, and Jacopo and the owner Nikola gave us explanations about the wine after giving us a tour of the wine making facilities. The family was super flexible, for instance one of our friends is vegan so they made the gorgeous truffle meal vegan for him. The communication with the hosts was great beforehand. We went home with some bottles for ourselves and family and amazing memories. We would highly recommend this tour!
