Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Mount Papandayan, 15 km from Garut Cisurupan Regency, Garut 44163 Indonesia
Mount Papandayan is a volcano 2, 665 meters in height.
Climbers trek along a stony path near the slope of an active sulfur crater known as the gate of Mount Papandayan in Garut, West Java.
The white sulfur gas discharged from the crater rose to the sky before changing course in the direction of the wind. Occasionally, the smelly sulfur gas blocked their path, but climbers kept walking to reach the next destination.
After passing the crater, trailing along a winding path and going up and down, climbers crossed a lane over a small river with very clear water originating from a mountain spring and fit for direct consumption, before following another path covered by Cantigi trees (Vaccinium Varingiaefolium).
Duration: 6 hours

My experience with JavaJivi was nothing short of excellent, from organising the trip through Rangga to visiting Mount Papandayan. Mpu was very knowledgeable about the volcano and took me to some amazing location that I would not have gone without a guide. They were able to pick me up from my hotel at 3am and drop me back after as a solo traveller. I highly recommend Papandayan for anyone looking for a less touristy indonesia, go on a weekday if you can! Had the sunrise location and craters to ourselves. If you're visiting Garut or Bandung, contact Rangga and organise this, it was the highlight of my trip.
