Trekking Tour in Amalfi, hidden paths & breathtaking views.
Overview
The tour starts after a brief introduction, from a small square in Amalfi. We will follow the same tracks of ancient traders that will lead us to Pontone, town known for being the first Roman settlement on the Amalfi coast.
We will then enter the heart of the "Valle delle Ferriere", among ancient paper mills, waterfalls, and a great variety of flora and fauna, which make the landscape magical and unique in its kind.
We will then proceed along the road that leads to "Canale Grande", an area in front of the Valle delle Ferriere Natural Reserve.
Once inside the natural reserve, you will notice the clear difference between the two climatic zones, where the favorable climatic conditions make possible the growth of the iconic prehistoric fern "Woodwardia Radicans", as well as hosting numerous species of amphibians such as the fire salamander.
After a short break immersed in the "valley", walking along the tracks, we will closely admire the ancient paper mills that distinguish our territory, to then return to the starting point thus completing a 360° experience of the "green" part of Amalfi.

What to expect

Stop At: Valle delle Ferriere, 84010, Amalfi Italy
We will retrace the same paths of the ancient traders that will lead us to Pogerola, a town known for its ancient foundries and the skilled blacksmiths who populated it.
We will then enter the heart of the "Valle delle Ferriere", among ancient paper mills, waterfalls and a great variety of flora and fauna, which make the landscape magical and unique in its kind. We will then proceed along the road that leads to "Canale Grande", an area in front of the VALLE DELLE FERRIERE NATURAL RESERVE.
Then by accessing the nature reserve, you will notice the clear difference between the two habitats, where the favorable climatic conditions make possible the growth of the iconic prehistoric fern "Woodwardia radicans", as well as hosting numerous species of amphibians such as the fire salamander.
After a short break in the greenery of the "valley", walking along the paths, we will admire the lemon groves that distinguish our territory from above, we will reach the small village of Pontone and thus end the tour.

This is a „must See“ Tour Every Tourist in Amalfi has to do this! Ambiente incantato,fiabesco. Esperienza da fare sicuramente per vedere un angolo della natura incontaminato di una bellezza mozzafiato al pari della foresta amazzonica. I due ragazzi che ci guidavano Federico e Salvatore sono stati molto professionali ma anche amichevoli e ci hanno regalato una bellissima mattinata di quelle che senz'altro non dimenticherò!
