This hike between Riomaggiore and Manarola was the highlight of my trip to Italy. Pall has extensive knowledge of the Cinque Terre and had many stories to share about these communities. Rather than the crowded, over-used trail between the two towns, he took me on a lush, scenic route where we didn't encounter other hikers for most of the trek. The ascent and descent was rather gradual and I didn't tire at all during the hike. The views of the hilltop towns, sea, and terraced vineyards were unforgettable. The Trekguyd, Pallo, met us the night before to give us some history and pointers. What a day & to go to a place where you don't run into crowds. This trek was paced so well & the little break you get up above a cove was spectacular. The whole day was filled with incredible views. I would recommend it as well as the Cinque Terre trek if you have an extra day. You get a lot for your money. You see La Spezia, The Palmaria Island & Portovenere plus the ferry boat back along the coast to Cinque. 10 for 10 day
