My husband and I loved the intimate setting of our experience. Make sure you go hungry. It's A LOT of food to eat!! We met Stephano and his mother at their home where they welcomed us into their kitchen and showed us how to prepare several Italian noodles and bread. We mixed, rolled, and shaped our ingredients. Then ate, drank and socialized with Stephano. He was very informative about the food and wine in the area. Overall it was a great experience. The food was so simple to make and delicious with quality ingredients! Highly recommend!! Side note: the home address is 240 on the given street. We had a little trouble locating.Man kocht mit der "Mama" und ihrem erwachsenen Sohn lokale Speisen auf Pasta - Basis. Sehr herzliche Atmosphäre im privaten Rahmen.

This was the highlight of our trip to Modena! Stefano and his mother welcomed my partner and I and one other couple into their lovely home on farmland just outside the city center. We spent the day learning about traditional modenese cuisine, cooking copious amounts of pasta, and drinking lambrusco. All of the food was made with fresh ingredients from the family garden. We had such a great time learning about the family’s history and how to hand craft the perfect tortelloni under the gentle guidance of Stefano and his mother. Definitely recommended! Our family with two young teenagers did this cooking class with Stefan and his mother in their actual house just outside the Modena city center. Our family with two young teenagers did this cooking class with Stefan and his mother in their actual house just outside the Modena city center. We did it as a day-trip from where we were staying in Verona). Under the direction of Stefan and his mother, we made pasta dough from scratch, rolled it out, and then used this to create, both a stuffed tortelloni (spinach and cheese filled) as well as a pasta that resembled rigatoni. Stefan's mother then cooked these for a few minutes, added a few ingredients to create two simple sauces, and we all sat down to eat lunch together (with Stefan's family). Our meal included these two past dishes, some other dishes that Stefan prepared for us: an appetizer of cheese and aged balsamic vinegar - the best balsamico we've ever tasted, by FAR!!, as well as a freshly prepared mini pita type breads that you stuff with cured meats and eat hot, right off the iron - delicious!), along with wine and suitable drinks for our kids. We spent over a week in Italy and had some fantastic restaurant meals, but I think this one was probably the best! I can not say enough positive things about this experience. Stefan and his family welcomed us into their home and made us fell like we were visiting relatives who were helping them prepare a usual meal we could all enjoy together. They showed us the importance of using the freshest ingredients and told us everything we used so that we would have to chance to try to replicate this in our own home kitchen. If you can manage to visit the Modena area while in Italy, I highly recommend you do this incredibly authentic cooking class. We met Stefano and his mother at her house. We met Stefano and his mother at her house. My 2 adults, my husband and I were all very impressed. At first glance, it seems like just walking into someone's house, but they showed us exactly how to make pasta, how to make some local breads, a little about balsamic vinegar and local wine. They made us very comfortable and we all joked and laughed, they told us some secrets of Italian cooking and language, and because we were interested they showed us some things that were probably not part of the normal tour. I would highly recommend this.
