Get prepared fort he most visited attraction in Slovenia. Postojna caves (tickets must be purchased upon arrival at the venue) are magnificent underground system with most exquisite chambers, halls, galleries, stalactites and stalagmites. You will enjoy in breathtaking train ride on the part of the visit, and the most part you will enjoy in underground landscape on your own, with explanations of the guide. Don't forget to visit the only kind of Human fish in the world, who choosed it's home just in this cave! The tour in the caves takes approximately 1 ½ hour.
Just few minutes away, there awaits you Predjama castle, beautiful stone-carved fortress, one of the kind on the world. The beautiful sight over the castle, will take you back into the history and make you imagine all the knights on the horses, strolling around the area and protecting their hideout. It is amazing setting to take photos in surrounded green landscape and end your journey.

We took this tour as an excursion from a cruie with one other couple. BUs met us and dropped us off at cruise port. The tour of the Postojna Caves was an amazing experience. The guide did a good job of explaining what we were seeing and how they were formed. We went from stationto station, and at each station, she had a microphone and speakers so we could all hear. Because our group was so busy taking pictures, we got behind and missed the last several stations and explanations, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The trip to the castle was interesting but not very exciting. The castle is unique being built into the side of the mountain. Tour did not include going into the castle. but we were told there is not much to see inside. THe tour guie on the bus was excellent. He explained in prefect detail what we would see, etfc. He took those of us without cave tickets to the ticket counter and made sure we got the right tickets. When we came out, he met us and showed us around the area for shops, snacks etc. Very friendly and professional guide. Highly reccommend this tour.We very much enjoyed this excursion. The pick -up was right on the pier. We were included with about 10 other guests in a small bus. The seat were comfortable and the A/C worked great which was very much appreciated. The caves were fabulous, a highlight of our 10 night trip. We also enjoyed the short stop at the castle, which we would have like to have gone into however time did not allow for it. Overall we we very happy to selected this excursion and it was significantly cheaper than the one offered on our cruise ship. Great driver/guide looked after us. The caves and castle are well worth a visit and this company will get you there in comfort for a fraction of the cost of an official cruise tour. Highly recommend.

You canNOT take flash pictures but can take camera shots and videos without the flash. It is wonderful!!!
