We were on a cruise ship for the day and booked this tour since it was our fist time in Sicily. We had a great time. Mt. Etna was something to see. It's a beautiful drive. We then went to Taormina, and had a wonderful time walking through the village and shopping. It was a great day, and would love to go back to Taormina. Our guide was great. She had suggestions for gelato and restaurants. Another reviewer said she was disappointed the guide did not stay with them in Taormina. We liked having the time to ourselves to enjoy lunch and shopping. I don't know why you'd want a guide with you for that. The town is very easy to navigate. We enjoyed our tour and recommend them. We were back in plenty of time to board the ship.Had a great day with Michele from Sicily4you this past week. He was waiting for us as we exited our ship and provided detailed plan for our excursion. Had a great day with Michele from Sicily4you this past week. He was waiting for us as we exited our ship and provided detailed plan for our excursion. Michele was very knowledgeable and happy to share with us his love for Sicily. We enjoyed the ride to Mt. Etna, stopping for local food tasting. Michele was very accommodating throughout the trip. We enjoyed Taormina and some highlights of Messina and finished the day with a great place for cannolis. We never had to worry about missing the ship as Michele was excellent. Highly recommend.

Absolute bad experience with this excursion. First of all, they park quite far from disembarking area. Have to walk a lot. But it is nothing in compare with what they have done! We have booked a PRIVATE tour, and paid for this, once we got to the meeting point, they advised that we will be waiting for other group! Finally there were 11 people all together. Tour guide called the boss and some one has said that driver was sick and they organised the a group tour. I have never received any apology or refund neither from the company, no from Viator. They should be responsible for such things as well. But the best punishment - never use Viator again. There are plenty other companies who provide this service. BTW, a guide was not a brilliant one, not much information.Michele was a wonderful host for the day. His love of Sicily shined through in the way he showed us his country. Michele was a wonderful host for the day. His love of Sicily shined through in the way he showed us his country. First stop on the way to Etna was wonderful and we tasted grapes fresh off the vine, wines, honeys, olive oils and dips etc. The staff their were very friendly and accommodating without trying to sell you stuff. We then drove to Mount Etna. It was a very windy day but we enjoyed seeing it and Michele drove us to a few lookouts which was great. We then drove to Taormina which Michele dropped us off so we could walk around the town which is beautiful and we enjoyed the local cuisine. Once we arrived back in Messina we did a short drive around and then he took us to try an authentic cannoli which was sensational. The van was very conformable and having wifi in it was great as I could send photos back home straight away. I highly recommend this tour for cruise ship passengers and you could not get a better day and value for money. Michele it is a credit to you how you run your tours. We had the pleasure of having Michele as our tour guide. We were a group of 8 and were picked up promptly. It was completely personalized. We had the pleasure of having Michele as our tour guide. We were a group of 8 and were picked up promptly. It was completely personalized. We spent as much time as we wanted in each location. We made a stop at a place that grows grapes used for wine and made their own honey. It was our lucky day because the owner of the place was there and he gave us grapes right off the vine to try. It was DELICIOUS!! We were informed that our group were the lucky ones because that usually doesn't happen. They had some wine tastings, olives, olive oils, pistachio spreads, all out to try. They made great gifts for loved ones back home. Michele was wonderful. Full of fun facts and information but not overwhelmingly so. Mt Etna was a sight to see. We did not opt to ride the cable cars to the top because we felt we had a great view from the crater we were taken to. Then on to Taormina where we had lunch and did some shopping. It is a cute little village. It definitely has a charm to it. At the end of the tour he offered to take us to a place that makes authentic Sicilian cannoli's freshly made. My goodness.... it was phenomenal. Dropped us off right at our ship with plenty of time to spare. It was by far one of the best tours of our trip. I would highly recommend.
