We enjoyed this unique tour very much. Farmer Filiberto described the various parts of the coffee bean, described the life cycle of a coffee tree and how he grows his plants from seed. He described how the various roasting times influenced the different coffee products. We then watched while his wife toasted, hand ground and brewed some of his coffee beans for us to enjoy.This Coffee Tour was amazing! Axel and Don Filiberto were very knowledgeable about the cultivation of coffee in Guatemala and were happy to answer any of our questions regarding the production process. This was not a tour for us but a memorable experience, as we were able to see the coffee from the plant to the cup. Roasting and grinding the coffee gave us more insight and deeper appreciation for the coffee we drank. As our tour guide Axel went above and beyond in ensuring a meaningful experience for us.We had a wonderful and informative tour. This was probably the greatest experience I had during my time in Guatemala. The guide was great. The car was clean and new. The experience of meeting with local people and supporting their business while also learning about the coffee making process was very cool. I literally saw the coffee go from dried un toasted beans to my cup in the span of 30 minutes. It was simply awesome. I highly recommend this tour.What an amazing, authentic experience.
