Itinerary

Stop At: Villa Adriana, Villa Adriana, Tivoli, Province of Rome, Lazio

This enchanting day trip from Rome begins with a 40-minute bus ride to Hadrian’s Villa. The vastness of Hadrian’s estate is a sight that will surely impress. The Emperor chose to build his residence outside the city in a place rich in water, in order to build the famous Canopus, one of the most preserved sites left in the complex. The statues surrounding this pool of water create stunning reflections on its surface, beautifully surrounded by luscious green gardens

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Pass By: Villa Adriana, Largo Marguerite Yourcenar 1, 00019, Tivoli Italy

A short bus ride brings you to Tivoli town center – where you will have time to explore and enjoy lunch before the next walking tour

Stop At: Villa d'Este, Piazza Trento 5, 00019, Tivoli Italy

We will leave the alluring ruins of the 2nd century A.D. far behind as we travel on to the 14th century to our second destination, Villa d’Este - one of the most beautiful Renaissance villas in Italy. This splendid palace, with its extraordinary gardens filled with hundreds of fountains, will leave you feeling captivated. Bernini’s monumental Neptune’s Fountain is considered the most impressive, its water jets reaching a height of 10 meters. Not to say that the Central Fountain and the Oval Fountain won’t leave you equally in awe

10 out 10. Great time management. Skip the lunch and eat on your own in Trivoli (you have 1.5 hours of free time). Fountains were amazing as was Hadrains Villa. We did 3 tours through Viator and this was far and above our favorite

The Gardens were magnificent and Joseph a wonderful guide here and at Hadrian's Villa. The transport and organisation was very good.

The sites are beautiful and Guiseppe kept us moving and on time. It would be a great addition if some recorded interpretive material could be presented during the bus ride to the tour.

Once is OK. The gardens only can be a target. Better to spend your time in Rome. Waste of time. For your info in my group was a family who came back third time. De gustibus ... Probably my expectation for vila d'Este was too big ... 🤔!?

The guide did a great job of sheparding all sorts of people who are above doing what’s asked of them. We wouldn’t have easily been able to see both UNESCO sites if we hadn’t done this bus tour. Guide was knowledgeable and English perfect. Worth doing.

The stunning remains of Hadrian’s Villa were a marvel. The gardens at Villa D’Este were also very beautiful. Giuseppe was a very informative guide, especially in explaining the links between the two sites.
