Join us for a private walking ghost tour of Capitol Square and see Madison’s spectral-rich history come to life as you walk the neighbourhood.
Your tour begins at the Wisconsin Capitol Building, which went through three iterations before becoming the building which now stands. From there, your private guide will take you by one of the city’s most beautiful —and haunted — old theatres, the Majestic, whose spectres are so real that one employee approached the figure to let the man know it was time to go home, only to realise the man was an apparition. As you move along the lakefront, see where the Old Madison jail stood, and hear tales of inmates being terrified by a spectre so alarming that they awoke the sheriff and begged for a different cell.
Your private spectral tour is two hours and just under two miles and is suitable for people of all ages, provided that adults are present with children.

Lisa was a really good tour guide, she was very knowledgeable and knew her history. My son and I really enjoyed it. The Reservations were for 3 people and 1 person had to work and couldn't come so I was wanting to know if I could get a refund on 1 of the tickets and how to go about doing it.

Lisa was a great host. She showed up ready to go and had the right attitude and demeanor to make us feel comfortable. She did good with pausing for questions making sure to steer her answers towards continuing the tour. She also had to contend with a fire works display and instead of fighting it ...
Lisa was a great host. She showed up ready to go and had the right attitude and demeanor to make us feel comfortable. She did good with pausing for questions making sure to steer her answers towards continuing the tour. She also had to contend with a fire works display and instead of fighting it leaned in taking a short detour to see a spot where we could see four different municipal displays of fireworks. Lots of awesome local lore and not too hard on my feet, which was nice because I am not in the best of shape. Will be coming back!
