The dream of flying
Overview
This activity meets the objective of showing travelers the city of Medellín in a different way, where they are the ones who choose whether to experience it in an extreme way or if they want to live it as a relaxing adventure with a beautiful view. We are pioneers of paragliding in Antioquia, APPI and UHSPHA international certificates, for 26 years in 1997, since 11 years of flying and teaching after my first 5 years of experience. We are the children of Heaven Short film that won in CANES at the European air festival, we are a foundation that rescues young people from drugs and violence in the BELLO sector and we transform them into PILOTS.

We did paragliding, communa 13 and Guatape trips with Carolina. She was an amazing guide through the whole journey, very knowledgeable about history of medellin and showed us all the cool spots. I highly recommend her company for all your experiences in Medellin!

Ditch the cable car past Santo Domingo to Parque Arvi (not worth it for views) and opt for this instead if budget allows. Surreal stillness in the middle of 🐮 farms and untouched countryside so close by to the urban mayhem 🚦this might be the best hangover cure I’ve ever tried 😂 flying through clouds and spiralling among the birds with the city below us in the distance - que chimba! 🤙🏽 More than anything, the experience was made by Juan who was super passionate and has been paragliding since he was 11 - thank god as he gave me full control 😅 The foundation rescue young people from drugs and violence by training them up to be pilots 💫 they even took us to try panchocha after (ridiculously cheeseh 🧀 local bread). Sadly their insta got hacked so they’ve had to start over. Check them out, soliddd recommendation from other travellers. I’ve already had 3 friends go on to do this since and love it ✌🏽Darren_K

Flying was really great, but we paid for a 30 minutes flight (220k) and 4 out of 5 of our group flew only for 15 to 18 minutes (which costs 130k). We checked the time, and we have videos and texts sent before and after flying. No refund has been given and we obviously felt cheated. The irony is...
Flying was really great, but we paid for a 30 minutes flight (220k) and 4 out of 5 of our group flew only for 15 to 18 minutes (which costs 130k). We checked the time, and we have videos and texts sent before and after flying. No refund has been given and we obviously felt cheated. The irony is that Juan during the ride to the mountain kept on arguing that In Medellin no one tries to rip off tourists (unlike Cartagena), but this was definitely the worst rip off of the trip as the 4 of us overpaid for nearly 100 USD. This is really a pity because it ruined a great experience. I encourage to book a 15’ trip or choose another school.Giulio A

We were all quite disappointed by the experience. We are five friends travelling through Colombia and wanted to spend a nice morning paragliding. Juan was initially really nice during the car trip from the city to the hills. Overall the flight wasn’t bad, even though we didn’t really receive any ...
We were all quite disappointed by the experience. We are five friends travelling through Colombia and wanted to spend a nice morning paragliding. Juan was initially really nice during the car trip from the city to the hills. Overall the flight wasn’t bad, even though we didn’t really receive any explanation on how to start or land before flying. The main issue is that we all paid for 30m of flight and four of us ended up doing 15 minutes (the 5th had 1 hour flying because Juan wanted to pick up warm currents and land on the hill again, but she unfortunately vomited a few times in the process due to motion sickness, although we cannot really blame Juan for this). When we pointed out to Juan that we paid for double the time he tried to argue that the pilots said that our flights lasted 30 minutes, the conditions were spectacular, our friend had an hour flight etc. We looked at the time before and after landing (plus have texts that we sent 17 minutes apart definitely while not flying) and we are all sure our flight time was around 15 minutes. It’s a pity that this has taken away from what could have been a very nice experience, but we don’t particularly enjoy being taken for fools. If you have to do this I would probably suggest just booking the 15 minutes as I imagine it’s a bit harder to try and chip minutes away from that too.Sybe R
