Overview
You will be met at the entrance of the George Inn by a figure from history in full costume. They will guide you and your fellow travellers on a tour that will dive into the dark, disgusting and horrible side of London’s history.
During the Tour not only will you be discovering the grim realities of the past, while being immersed in the reality of the history, as you encounter characters from the very times that you explore... Encountering the history face to face!!

Starting at the Beautifully hidden and historic George inn, we will begin by discovering where you are, how it began and what history has to hide about all the things we take for granted.

Stop At: London Bridge, London SE1 9DD England
While coming on this historic site we will be exploring the area around to discover how the lives of ordinary people really was, how horrible it meant and what living so close to the river could mean.

Stop At: Borough Market, 8 Southwark Street, London SE1 1TL England
While venturing through this wonderfully famous and eclectic market we will be exploring the history of what the market would really have been like going through the ages, and why you may want to pay more attention to where your standing and what's underneath!

Stop At: Southwark Cathedral, 1 London Bridge Montague Close, London SE1 9DA England
We will be exploring the history of the area that surrounds the Cathedral and what mysteries it holds. What the Cathedral and its inhabitants did and how it's role in the community used to be very different in the past and how much it changed through time, be ready!

Returning to the George Inn we will be learning about how it functioned and how it connected to all of the traumatising and horrific history you will have been discovering throughout the night. Just in time, to recover with a nice ale and regail the horror you have experienced!

Gruesome, brutal, fascinating and educational. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A thoroughly enjoyable and informative evening! As a Londoner I learned so much about this part of town and the history of it. My 13 year old daughter found it really interesting too. Great fun with a knowledgeable tour guide - highly recommend!

Answered all questions and had a really deep knowledge of London history. However, after we left we realised the promised enactment didn’t take place when we got back to The George Inn? Any explanation for this omission?

Anyway if you even vaguely enjoy learning about history, then I would definitely recommend going to see this tour.We had such a great time on this tour. It was both fun and interesting learning about the lesser known grusome history of london. Would highly recommend to anyone who doesnt get offended easily.
