Sena was an excellent host. The village was on a JR line and about 15 mins from Shinjuku where we stayed. The meeting point for Sena was easy to find. The tour brought us to a variety of restaurants and food stands, sampling popular local savoury and sweet foods and drinks. The information will be useful for our full Japan trip. Sena also explained a lot about how Japan works, it’s people and what it is like to live there. She helped with some bookings we needed to make, making some calls for us and reviewing some websites. She was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The trip was very enjoyable for my wife and I and our 2 kids (8 and 10). Make sure you arrive hungry , there is a lot of eating!!This is so worth every penny. Our guide sena was amazing and so sweet! She took us to some amazing spots. These were places I would never have known to go to if I was not a local. She explained everything and answered any questions we had. If you’re on the fence about doing a food tour in Tokyo.....

Very interesting and fun walk around Kichijoji trying so many different Japanese food plus sake. Lovely sweet guide made it interesting and exciting. The kids loved the Moomins and the sweet fish cakes (can't remember the Japanese name). The real sushi and tacoyaki were amazing. The tour was over 3 hours and was a great way to spend an afternoon and see a new area of Tokyo. Highly recommended.
