" Elise did an amazing job of showing us the delicious street food of Saigon! I would definitely use her again the next time we are in Saigon. " We took this trip in April 2019, no travel allowed in April 2020, unfortunately, so no masks, etc, were required as it was before the pandemic.

" On booking our food tour Elise had got in touch to as about our preferences and where to meet, which was a good start. Our immediate impression was excellent as Elise's English was superb and she promised us an interesting tour. We started at Ben Thanh market and went to several different locations around the city, from conventional restaurant to pavements. We had a most interesting discussion generally about food and Vietnam and really enjoyed our day. We would definitely recommend a tour with Elise. "This is so much more than a food tour. Elise covered lots of districts within this food tour, we got a great look around the city as well as trying heaps of local foods that we wouldn't have tried without Elise.

I will break this review up in to 2 sections. 1 - The tour. 2 - The tour guide, Thien. 1. The tour was SO informative. I gained so much perspective and understanding of the area and times, it was quite overwhelming honestly (in a good way!). Thien was patient, understanding, accommodating, and has such a positive presence to her. She really understands the line between leading and letting you choose how you want your tour to go. It was all very organic. I was giving insight to the people and and new understanding to circumstances at hand. 2. Thien - my superhero. First off, she graciously picked me up from the airport out of the kindness of her heart. I was on a HUGE time crunch and this really allowed for me to experience more than I would have been able to originally. The day of my tour many things went wring. Due to happenings in the world, my flight home was cancelled (mind you, it was extremely early the next day). She helped me navigate calls, emails, and texts I needed to make to figure out what was going to happen with my travel arrangements. ALL WHILE STILL DOING THE TOUR! True professional. She brought me BACK to the airport and walked in WITH me to help speak with a service representative. She really helped me when I was stressed and frustrated. That's just in her nature, being a supreme host and is great with people. Now, I know that is mostly personal information about me and my trip but you are paying money for the tour AND the guide. With ALL I was dealing with, she was still able to keep a schedule, give me a full tour, help me work on rebooking flights, reach out to business friends to try to help, and much much more. With all of that and to still say I had a wonderful time, that is all because of her temperament and attitude. Since being back in the US, people ask my favorite part of my Vietnam travels and this always comes up as one of them. I love relaying the perspective, insight, information, and facts Thien bestowed upon me from her own studies and personal acquaintances accounts. THANKS for EVERYTHING THIEN!
