Thai Cooking Class in Koh Samui
Overview
Experience the culinary adventure of a lifetime during your visit to Thailand by trying out the Thai cooking classes in Koh Samui. Learn just how to cook deliciously authentic 3 dishes Thai food and the delicious banana coconut milk in the dessert, each with vegetarian/vegan options available. Get detailed, step-by-step instructions from your English-speaking teacher as they demonstrate the right techniques. You'll either visit a local organic garden that's filled with herbs, vegetables, fruits, and even some edible flowers, or Bophut Fresh Market, the newest and cleanest markets in the city, where you'll get to see fresh produce with vibrant colors as you wander around the maze of stalls. After the meal, you'll receive a small gift from the staff, as well as a copy of the recipes that will surely impress your friends and family back home! Because the classes have a maximum number of 6 guests, the class is always personal and intimate.

What to expect
Your journey begins with a quick transfer from your accommodation in Koh Samui to the Cookery school, with pick up roughly 30-50 minutes before your scheduled start time. All our classes have a max of 6 people for a more personal learning experience. Join us for a 30 min tour at a local Thai market where we will quickly teach you all you need to know about the herbs, vegetables, and spices used in Thai food. After the lesson in the market, you will be ready to start your 2-hour lesson in our kitchen, which is fully equipped with everything you will need to get started. Learn just how easy it is to cook deliciously authentic Thai food with our certified Thai teacher. Savor a mouthwatering Thai lunch or dinner made by yourself and transfer back to your hotel.
Sample Menu
• Soup - 1.The favorite hot and sour soup, 2.Coconut soup with galangal and lemongrass.
• Salad - 1.Chicken Salad (with fresh mint, shallots) 2.Beef Salad (with pineapple, fresh mint, shallots) 3.Papaya Salad (The famous one!)
• Salad - 4.Green Mango Salad (with crispy little fish and chili) 5.Seafood salad (prawn, squid, tomato, shallots, chilies)
• Stir-Fried Noodles - 1.Pad Thai (the famous one!) 2.Pad See Ew (large rice noodle with many vegetables)
• Curry - 1.Red or Green curry paste 2.Green Curry (creamy in a plate or in a bowl you choose!)
• Curry - 3.Massaman Curry (not spicy! .. with potatoes, peanuts, and chicken) 4.Red curry (the spiciest one! with kaffir lime leaves)
• Curry - 5.Panang Curry (with basil leaves and kaffir lime leaves) 6.Yellow Curry (with onions, baby corn, egg)
• Stir-Fried - 1.Fried Chicken Cashew Nuts 2.Fried ginger with pork or chicken 3.Garlic and pepper (with fried chicken or pork)
• Stir-Fried - 4.Sweet and Sour (with pineapple, tomatoes) 5.Pad Kaphao (Fried basil leaves and chili's) 6.Steam Fish (with ginger, chilies, lime)
• Dessert - Mango Sticky Rice (Included for all classes)

- Extra charge for followers (not cooking) over 10 years old 800 baht and children under 10 years 500 baht (Payable directly to the driver)
- You will choose 3 dishes before the market tour
- There is a minimum of 2 people required to run this tour! A maximum of 6 people
- Any dish can be made with chicken, beef, pork, prawn, squid, fish or vegetarian version
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

Loved visiting the market. Chef explained different seasonings and vegetables. He also discussed alternatives for vegetables if not available. Cooking was fun and easy. The chef would offer suggestions after tasting and let us taste his as well. Very helpful to get authentic.

What a fun day we had at our Thai Cooking Class in Koh Samui. The driver picked us up at the cruise port and drove us to our class. Everything needed to prepare the dishes was ready. The meat and produce were excellent quality. Chanita, our hostess, was so much fun. Her directions were easy to follow. After each dish was completed, Chanita and her staff would serve us the dish poolside for us to enjoy. We prepared three dishes, chicken stir fry, Thai green curry with chicken, and vegetable fried rice. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend this tour. The only suggestion would be to have the recipes of the dishes printed up for us to take home.StephenJ_Y

Chanita was amazing. We loved our Thai cooking class. Our private class was held at her beautiful home. The kitchen is set up for 8 guests. We prepared 3 dishes and each was served to us at a table by her pool. The food was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this tour. So much fun!!!
