We feel so incredibly lucky to have experienced a one-of-a-kind tour with David of Explore Queretaro. But let me back up a bit…. We were only going to be in QTO for 36 hours (stayed at Casa de la Marquesa – Highest Recommendations) and while we usually like to explore organically on our own – it seemed like we might miss something by doing it our typical way, in such a short time frame. We rarely book a tour but this sounded interesting and decided to give it a try. The tour was our favorite thing we did on our 12 day trip to Mexico. From the beginning, Anna – the other owner of the company, responded quickly with lots of ideas and a welcoming and delightful communication. She set everything up for us and made sure that everything was seamless. We mentioned what we were interested in and what things we liked to eat (and not eat) and she told us David had some great ideas in mind. She wasn’t kidding. David met us at the Jardin (he was there early and extremely easy to find) and he had a huge backpack. He produced two big bottles of water for us from the pack and we were on our way. We had tamales from Oaxaca with a fantastic cold chocolate drink, gorditas, Arab tacos, a smoky mezcal margarita (best I’ve ever had!), fantastic coffee, ice cream, and magically and every so often, David would pull some delicious treat from his back pack (Hello Churros!!). We walked and talked and learned and tasted and saw beautiful architecture, interesting markets, museums, food carts, small restaurants, a cool cantina and I could go on and on. The time flew, we were very full, we learned so much, and we made a new friend. We speak very fondly of Queretaro and David and Anna have everything to do with that! Don’t hesitate to take this tour. David loves his city and will do his absolute best to show you some of the many special things that the city has to offer. -Joni K & Jeff HCan't say enough about this young couple and their TacoWalk tour! I highly recommend any tour with David and Anna! They were the most delightful and enthusiastic hosts. I personally enjoyed the 3 hour “Taco Walk.” What a fun experience. They took me to sample many different types of tacos from different regions in Mexico. They were all so tasty. I couldn’t choose which one I like best. And in between our delicious sampling, David, who is a history buff, explained many interesting facts about the history of the beautiful city of Queretaro. I learned so much that it made me love this city even more! We even got to stop at two very interesting places to have cocktails which also tied in with the history of the city. I don’t want to give away too many of the details because the surprises along the way are part of the fun! I encourage anyone who wants to enjoy a lovely afternoon to take the “Taco Walk”! You won’t be sorry!I really enjoyed the experience, although I have lived in Queretaro for quite a while, I was impressed by how much I learned from Ana and David about the city. I can tell that they’ve really taken their time to explore the city themselves and share their knowledge with local and foreign tourists.
