We are passionate about surfing and therefore focus only on giving top quality surf classes!
Surf Canaries Surf School is based at the foot of the sand dunes of Maspalomas in Playa del Inglés - impossible to be closer to the beach!
Our local beach break Playa del Inglés has excellent waves for learning and improving when conditions are right.
Our permanent team of instructors paired with small groups of 1 instructor for maximum 5 students are what sets our surf school apart from others. We will tailor each of our courses to fit your skill level and personal goals - essential for a fun and unforgettable surfing experience!

What to expect
We usually meet up in the surf school at 9:30 in the morning (depending on the surfing conditions) and have our morning briefing, followed by different theory classes in the surf school class room. Our generic video class is an accumulation of over 10 years of experience in teaching how to surf. It is designed for day-one surfers and people that have surfed before alike.
After learning the basic golden rules, you have the perfect knowledge to succeed in getting up on a surf board. A quick simulation class on the beach and you will be ready to hit the water with your instructor for the first practical session. After the first 50 minutes of surfing we will take a 20 min break to rest up and recharge your batteries before the second session of surfing.
We finalize the day with a photo party in the surf school where we see the pictures of everyone in action. Those pictures will be available for you to download at no additional cost.

I had lessons at Surf Canaries in two ocasions last year. The instructors are doing a great job and they are very supportive!!! After a couple of group lessons I decided to have individual ones. Fine! But I was to trustful about the price, which is almost the triple from what other surf-schools (f.e. Las Palmas) charge for the same thing. Stupid me, to not double check this. And a huge shame for the management!!!I had 3 days in a row with them, they are super kind and professional. They made me surfing at the first day.. unbelievable because I’ve never surf in my life.
