Surf Lessons - Playa Tamarindo
Overview
We are a fun international group of people and we all share the love of surfing. Our main goal is to make our students feel safe and welcomed while have the best time of their lives in the water catching waves.
Inclusions
- Our lessons include rash-guard and surfboard.
What to expect
Our surf-lessons are 2 hours long. We will start with 30 minutes theory on land were you will learn the basics, safety, practice and have a warm up before heading out in the water were we will spend roughly 1, 5 hours catching waves.
Our focus during our lessons is to teach you the core skills and safety of surfing while having the best time. It is really important to us that you are feeling safe while having the time of your life.
Our lessons includes a rash-guard and surfboard.
We do have experience with teaching kids.
Our instructors are CPR and first-aid trained.
For those who are more experienced surfers we can discuss goals and help tailor your lesson after your level.
We have male and female instructors - English, Spanish and Swedish spoken.

We had such a fun time surfing. Eddie and Sofie were great instructors and got us all up on the boards in no time. They were clear and helpful but super easygoing. My son definitely needed more assistance, especially in the bigger waves and I never felt like he was left alone to fend for himself....

There were 4 of us and two of them but somehow we all got all the needed attention and got plenty of waves. Tamarindo beach is the perfect place to learn to surf whether it's your first time or you've done it before. It gets crowded but we never had to wait for others to go or felt too close to other people. They even had someone else from the surf school take photos of us while we were surfing which was really special to remember the day by. Highly recommend!The instructors are super kind and helpful! Super easy to get in contact with them too. They make you feel safe and teach you all the things you need to know before going out surfing by yourself. Would recommend to anyone traveling here :)

I had already had some surf lessons with other instructors in Tamarindo but had spotted Sofie around the place and wanted to have the experience of lessons with a female instructor - the testosterone can be STRONG in Tamarindo 😳. She is such an amazing instructor. Her English is totally fluent and she is teaches in a way that combines enthusiasm/confidence-building with really thorough technical knowledge, always looking for ways to help you catch the next wave better. I totally trusted her and she had incredible skill for spotting waves that other instructors didn’t see coming. She also has excellent chat 😊. I ended up taking lessons with her nearly every day for 2 weeks and was sad to say goodbye when I left. Most lessons were individual, but a friend joined for 2 lessons and Sofie was equally good 1-1 as she was looking after 2 of us. The whole school is such a great combo of chilled and friendly, but totally professional. They also have a great selection of boards and are right on the beach, so you don’t have to wander all over Tama with your board 😬. They have a small team who watch your beach bag, so you can go straight from the lesson to the sun lounger - I really appreciated this. Tuanis surf school has such good instructors who gives each and one of you in a group as much time and attention that you need no matter if you’re on different levels. We had a really good time with them, they are super friendly, welcoming and easy going and they make you feel safe in the water. I went back to Tamarindo and surfed with them again and it was just as much fun this time around! Tuanis surf school is no doubt the place to surf if you go to Tamarindo, I strongly recommend!Had the best time surfing with Sophie!! If you are ever close by and interested to surf I would highly recommend this school!! Can’t wait for the next session
