- You will learn safety, the basics of surfing, how to stand up and catch your first wave.
- If you are intermediate, learn tips and improve your skills with a local professional surfer.
- The lesson is 1.5-2h long, depending on how many people we send per instructor.
- The lesson includes the surf board + rash guard.
Tamarindo is one of the best surf spots when it comes to learning how to surf. With clean, gentle waves you're gonna have a blast while also feeling safe. Only thing you need to bring is your swimsuit, sun screen and a positive attitude! Let's catch some good waves together.

Myself and my wife did several lessons with Isabella and Carlos. They were extremely knowledgeable and very fun to surf with. My wife was a first timer and they gave her their undivided attention, I surf before in many spots of the world and they gave me tips for the local waves and advice that really made me a better surfer all around. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again when I return to Tamarindo. I really think whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advance surfer, getting coaching from someone, especially who surfs the local breaks is totally worth it. My wife really enjoyed it and she caught more waves in her first times out then most people do. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is coming to Tamarindo and wants to surf, no matter what level you are! I did an introductory session with La Muda surf school and it was the best part of my trip to Costa Rica. Isabella and Carlos are true professionals, very dedicated and talented. They make sure their clients are safe and happy. They are very patient and create a comfortable environment from the start, which makes you feel confident. With their excellent advice, even though I had never surfed in my life, within moments I was able to stand on the board and ride the waves. I highly recommend La Muda and their lovely owners who are passionate about what they do.Carlo and Isabella are very kind and patient teachers.
