What to expect

Stop At: Meteora, Meteora, Trikala Region, Thessaly
Your photo tour starts about 4 hours before sunset and finishes after that. Begin from the first houses of the hermits at the foot of Meteora with a background of dimming sunlight. Takes advantage of the softer afternoon lighting as well as the mystical lighting at the golden hour. You will photograph all the monasteries from outside of the best spots. The day will be properly wrapped up with an epic sunset shoot up on the Meteora rocks!

I am greek and I live in Germany. Because my wife is from the area where the Meteora monasteries are, we have very often been there, but I wasn´t happy with my photos I tooked. This summer I found the Meteora Photo Tour and thought that that could be a great way to improve my photography skills. I had a lot of questions and so I got in contact with Konstantina. She was very friendly and answered all my questions. And I had realy a lot of questions. So I book the Sunrise Photo Tour with Christos. The booking process was absolutely seamless. I received a confirmation email at booking and a reminder email about 24 hours before the tour. When I arrived at the meeting place I was very friendly received by them. We greeted each other and immediately the ice was broken and it feelt like we knew eatch other since years ago. Like an old friend. With Christos car we drove through the narrow and winding roads of Kalabaka and Kastraki. Christos really knows the area like the back of his hand and so we came to dreamlike vantage points from where we could see the breathtaking beauty of the monasteries. I know myself with the photograph relatively well. Christos immediately adjusted to me and given me a lot of tips based on my knowledge. He answered all my questions an showed me ways to improve my pictures. In the four-hour tour I learned a lot and increased my skills significantly. In my remaining vacation, I always thought of Christos tips when taking pictures. If you book a tour with him then he will adapt to your needs and he is absolutely in the position to adapt from amateurs to highly professional photographers, because he is an absolute professional. I learned so much about the history of Meteora and the surrounding villages. Christos knows all about the monasteries because he grew up here and is enthusiastic about the culture and traditions of the meteorites. I can definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know the metora monasteries in a different, beautiful way. With a guide who is a paradigm of the Greek hospitality, who will take you to beautiful places (not just the points where all the tourists go) and will answer all your questions to your fullest satisfaction. Christos and Konstantina were great hosts and if you’re in the area, I highly recommend them. Their knowledge of the area was so helpful.
