What to expect
It’s a unique experience to watch the sunrise over the Gulf of Thailand from a Stand Up Paddle board. Learn some basic paddling techniques, whilst you experience a magical start to the day.
The Group Sunrise Paddle Tour starts at 6am and lasts for 1.5 hours. Wear your swimsuit, and bring a towel, hat and sunscreen. Waterproof camera optional. We’ll provide all SUP equipment, plus drinking water and a healthy snack.
We want to make sure you have a fun and safe time out on the water, so we only take small groups. The Sunrise Paddle Tour is suitable for adults and teenagers (15+).

- Not wheelchair accessible
- In case of bad weather such as strong winds or storms, you can choose to reschedule your tour or receive a refund.
- Free hotel transfers provided in the following locations: Bangrak, Bophut, Chaweng Beach and Choeng Mon.
- Service animals allowed
- A maximum of 4 people per tour

- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
- Social distancing enforced throughout experience
- Gear/equipment sanitized between use
- Guides required to regularly wash hands

- This is an outdoor activity. It is easy to ensure social distancing on the beach and when out on the water. All equipment cleaned before each paddle tour.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 4 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 12 hours of travel. In this case confirmation will be received as soon as possible, subject to availability

I would highly recommend doing the sunrise tour over sunset, since the absence of boat traffic in the morning makes the water so still, it reflects the clouds and makes it look like you’re paddling on the sky.SUP is much more fun and easy then I thought it will be. A group of us (on a yoga retreat) started our day on the water with Ian and Tammy. It was brilliant fun. Some of the ladies had not been on a paddle board before and I’d only done a couple of hours, Ian and Tammy were great teachers and helped me fix my bad habits from trying it on my own. We all ended up standing up and having a fantastic time and we all want to book in again for sunset! I love paddle boarding and can recommend this company for safety and understanding.Getting two teenagers up and organised for a 05:45 hrs pick up was the biggest challenge of the day! Getting two teenagers up and organised for a 05:45 hrs pick up was the biggest challenge of the day! Ian picked us (on time) at our hotel and drove us to the starting beach. It was very quiet and the water was flat calm. After a thorough briefing we set off into a spectacular sun-rise. Ian managed to take some really good photos of us which he sent to us later in the day. We were all reasonably competent SUP'ers so managed to make it round two headlands before having to head back, but Ian will tailor your excursion to you ability and won't take you anywhere you're not capable or comfortable going! All in all, an excellent way to see a different side of Koh Samui and I would strongly recommend it!Had a fantastic time, Ian is a great teacher and guide and introduced us to the sport really well.
