I have been Surfing here in Byron Bay since the 1970s,
I have been teaching surfing skills in Byron Bay since the 1980s,
I have owned & operated Style Surfing Byron Bay since 1999.
Style Surfing Byron Bay will always operate at Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay.
Style Surfing Byron Bay is 1 of only 4 surf schools that can offer group lessons in the waves of Byron Bay.

What to expect
All you need is swimmers & towel & water bottle.
Meeting at the Clarkes Beach Car Park in Byron Bay. 2 Massinger Street.

I will give you a surfboard, wetsuit [if needed] a rash shirt. Sunscreen & Wax.
Get on the beach for the Surf Instruction / Surf Safety / Surfing Rules and ocean Awareness.
I help U in the surf the whole lesson. U get non stop tips and surf stories in the Surf in between catching waves.
If you want the BEST in BYRON, Call me..... if you don't care, call someone else. Hahaha.

We were lucky to get a morning lesson with gaz and Dan during our first visit to Byron bay. We went with our two boys aged 11 and 9 and they loved it. Clarke's beach is a great location and the surf lesson was really fun....thanks to gaz and Dan. This is a great Byron experience...perfect

I signed up for 5 lessons with Style Surfing and Gaz is THE best Byron has to offer. I've been surfing about a dozen times before at different locations around the world with several introductory lessons, but the teaching technique never stuck with me until this I went with these guys. Gaz was also super flexible about letting me finish up my lessons at a later date when I had conflicting Freediving plans. I'm glad I listened to the locals and businesses saying to go with Style Surfing. They far exceeded my expectations and have the funniest "cheesy" jokes!
Couldn't recommend this any more. I never write reviews but here I am. He is a local and has been surfing for as long as he can remember. Hands down the best surfing lesson I've ever had. I actually stood up for the first time, 4 times with him!
