We arrived in Battambang and were doubting to hire a motorbike or a tuktuk to discover Battambang. When we arrived in our Lucky Hostel Mr Pov introduced himself and his tour without being intrusive. That evening we texted him for tour information. He was very flexibel to add things to the tour. We visited the lotus farm, crocodil farm (they produce crocodils to make handbags and you pay 2$ each so think about it if you want to support it or not because we didn’t knew), fishing village, bamboo train (nice experience!!),winery, fruit bats, banana hill, bat cave and killing cave and we had a typical Khmer lunch and to end the day we watched the sunset. His English is very good and he gives a lot of interesting information plus he is a very responsible driver! After all visiting Battambang with this guide was a wonderful experience we had never found the places we visited our selfs!You have 2 kinds of "authentic" The fake one where everybody puts up a show for you.. And the real stuff. The kind of authentic where you can see, feel, smell and experience the country. Pao gives you the second one! We had 2 fun days where we saw every side of Battambang. Pao gives you the second one! We had 2 fun days where we saw every side of Battambang. Batcave, bambootrain (a little bit too touristic but fun anyways), ricewine, temples.. But also a 10min stop in the local garage to fix a flat tire. Or another 10min stop in another garage for another flat tire. So we had the chance to talk to Pao and learn something more about the Cambodian way. If you come to Battambang, Pao is certainly adding value to your stay!We had a wonderful day and visit of Battambang with Pao or Mr Pov. He came pick us right on time and we visited the Bamboo train (lots of fun!), the Banan temple and the Sempov temple/killing caves where we saw thousands of bats. He came pick us right on time and we visited the Bamboo train (lots of fun!), the Banan temple and the Sempov temple/killing caves where we saw thousands of bats. We saw Cambodia’s country side and we really loved the scenery. Mr Pov was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great driver. We had a very fun day thanks to him! We had a full day tour with mr pov at Battambang and we had a great time with him. He chats everything with us and told us so many history about his country. He even brought us to visit the sunset at a small hill where none of the tuk tuk driver ever know the place. He brought us to many different places like the small villages and hanging bridge. It was a superb experience with him and he made our trip in Battambang with wonderful memories anot this place. Pao is an awesome tour guide, he took us to see the famous bat caves and temples, along the way we spoke with him and learned so much about Cambodian culture, history and his hopes for their industry and tourism, he is so humble and kind and simply willing to talk about anything. We enjoyed the tour it was one of the best things we did in Cambodia. We invited Pao to have lunch with us the next day and spoke more with him at our hostel, an unforgettable experience, thank you!
