Special Lantern Making Class And painting on Silk Lantern
Overview
After paiting class finished we will take a rest and tasting our tea then go ahead to Lantern Making Class.
We provide the bamboo that forms the base of your frame; you do the rest. Your instructor will show you how to make your lantern from the first to the last step and how to make your own Hoi An lantern. We provide beautiful silk so that you can choose your own color pattern, and design.
Once completed, these lanterns are easy to fold, carry, or put in your luggage. Take an original, enjoyable, hand-made souvenir home from your visit to Hoi An.

What to expect
Combining two personalized workshops where you can learn the traditional art of Vietnamese painting and make a Hoi An foldable lantern which you can take home as a memory of your trip in charming Hoi An old town.
- The class starts with a very relaxing time by enjoy our special herbal tea and our traditional music.
- Listen to your host they will show you about the history of Hoi An bamboo silk lantern and the traditional calligraphy of Vietnam.
- You will make the lanterns with the shapes you love because we have many type of shapes like diamond, garlic, lotus flowers or ufo shape.
- After you made the lantern finished, we will take a rest and watching to our art gallery part to choose the sample you want to paint on your lantern.
- Learning how to paint on the silk fabric is a very special experience with our talented master.
- After you painting on your lantern we will make it dry then light lit up and take some photos to save our special memories with your host and the master.
- the lanterns you made are foldable and easy to put in your bag to bring home.

It was a really good experience. The people where very kind and friendly. The setting and ambience was good too. I thought they would take us to a village from the place but apparently the drop off place is the workshop!! The drink they offered was tasty 😋 Since we opted for both lantern making and scroll painting we didn’t get to do lantern making from scratch. Others got to do that but anyway this itself was plenty fun!!! Then we moved to the workshop right next to them. People are not going for the scroll paining much so only 2 of us was there but it was really good. The people are really sweet. The artist made us draw 🌸 🎋 🌳 almost 500 times but it was cool. The gift we got from the instructor was very nice 🥹and the lamp and scroll 📜 we made where beautiful 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺worth everything.Had an Amazing time filled with so much fun! They Explained very well with easy simple steps. They also explained where the origin of the lanterns were. So kind and friendly!
