Take a tour from Florence with a difference - by vespa scooter! It's a fabulous way to tour the Chianti region of Tuscany with beautiful vineyards and rolling hills. An exciting alternative to conventional tours, this Chianti Scooter Tour gives you access to country roads so you'll discover more corners of this world-famous wine producing region of Italy. Ride through the hillside of Tuscany on a Vespa scooter and soak up the sights, smells and sounds.
The ride, along scenic country roads will offer splendid views of the rolling hillside, vineyards and olive groves, little medieval churches and ancient wineries. Some stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way.
You will visit a famous winery, producing some of the most appreciated Chianti wines, and a boutique winery, learning their approach on wine making and tasting their delicious wines and olive oil.

- Minimum age is 18 years
- If you want to book multiple vespas (each for sole use with just one rider), please put through single bookings
- A valid driving license is required (although you do not need a motorcycle license), make sure you have it with you on the tour, and you must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 13 years to be a passenger
- Previous experience is not required but advantageous and highly advised. The tour operator reserves the right of final judgement in client participation of actual scooter driving or in client being a passenger, or to discontinue scooter use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner, or on the guide’s scooter if available or continue the tour on board one of our support vehicles (the Tuscany Tuk Tuk or the minivan, depending which is available) if unable to be a safe passenger as well. No refund will be granted in this case. Our first and foremost concern is everyone's safety
- The Single Vespa and Double Vespa tour options entitle clients to ride the original Piaggio Vespas, but Piaggio Zip scooters (which are lighter and easier to ride) are also available (Smaller scooter option)
- A third-party insurance for civil liability is included in the price of the tour. Please note that clients will be given the option to subscribe an additional insurance against vehicle damages
- Please let us know in advance any special need or impaired mobility of the clients, and we will do our best to accommodate them
- RAIN POLICY: The tour runs rain or shine (but please see below). The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain. We will do our best to proceed with the tour, avoiding the rain and thus possibly carrying out the tour with our minivan until and if the rain should stop and street conditions will guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan. Guest options on rainy days: 1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy RAIN Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to get you on a scooter, weather permitting. 2) Rain check (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded.
- We are sorry to inform you that pets are not permitted on our tours
- The maximum load the Vespa can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. No refund will be due
- This tour option entitles client to ride the iconic original PIAGGIO VESPA or Electric VESPA, but PIAGGIO ZIP scooters (which are smaller) are also available (SMART OPTION)
- For the double Vespa two persons are required (1 driver & 1 passenger)
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience.

My husband and I had the most fun today onThe Vespa tour! Our guides were amazing, made sure everyone was having fun and made sure we were safe the entire trip! Lunch was incredible and the winery was gorgeous! Highly recommend!

Tuscany is beautiful & it was a great day despite the weather. We were unable to ride the Vespa’s due to the rain but they offered us the tour by van. I gave the tour a 3 star as our guide was very quiet & only talked when asked a question in the van. He was very nice but we really like to lea...
Tuscany is beautiful & it was a great day despite the weather. We were unable to ride the Vespa’s due to the rain but they offered us the tour by van. I gave the tour a 3 star as our guide was very quiet & only talked when asked a question in the van. He was very nice but we really like to learn about areas we visit. We all paid $20 euro cash at the head office prior to leaving in the van for insurance on the vespas & then when weather didn’t allow us to ride we were told we would get our deposits back. The office was closed when we returned & the guide offered no solution. I will be reaching out directly for a refund. The vineyard we visited for a tour, wine tasting & dinner was amazing!Landon_J

This tour was one of the most fun we had on our honeymoon. Haidar and Lorenzo are excellent and friendly. Once you learn to ride the Vespa you go to Chianti then an amazing winery with a family style dinner. Made great friend's and just had an all around blast! Not that it is a con but the Vesp...

Absolutely amazing experience. Really helps to be comfortable on a Vespa or something similar. The ride was spectacular....go in the afternoon. Winery was exceptional. The meal "crushed"...loved everything about this experience. The staff are second to none. I can not recommend highly enough
