Overview

You get to see everything in one day! All the main sites in San Francisco, a lunch break in Sausalito, and a walk around Muir Woods. If you have selected the Alcatraz option, you will take a ferry ride to Alcatraz Island in the afternoon for the Official Alcatraz Tour.

8am – Depart Fisherman’s Wharf

8-9:30am – Explore San Francisco’s BEST neighborhoods!
You will be treated to entertaining stories about the neighborhoods and several photo stops.

9:30-11am – Explore Muir Woods
You will have 75 minutes among some of the last remaining coastal redwoods in the world!

11am-12pm – Lunch in Sausalito
Enjoy lunch in the quaint town of Sausalito where you can shop and explore!

1:30pm - If you have selected the Alcatraz option, you will be dropped off at Pier 33 for the Official Alcatraz Tour! For those not going to Alcatraz, you will be dropped off at the same location as your meeting point.

Pass By: North Beach, Broadway at Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94111

Voted as one of the USA's "ten great neighborhoods", North Beach is best known as the home of Little Italy. From delicious restaurants to authentic sidewalk cafes and bakeries, you will feel the charm of San Francisco as soon as you arrive.

Pass By: Chinatown, Grant Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94108

Boasting the largest Chinatown in the United States, this 24-block mecca is bustling with energy, amazing food, and unique and colorful shops that give this area its charm.

Stop At: Pacific Heights, 2356 Pine St, San Francisco, CA 94115-2715

Offering one of the most scenic outlooks in all of Northern California, Pacific Heights is home to Billionaire's Row, featuring the estates of politicians, tech titans and other San Francisco celebrities (includes Mrs. Doubtfire house!).

Pass By: Presidio of San Francisco, 210 Lincoln Boulevard on the Presidio's Main Post, San Francisco, CA 94129

Former military base, now a beautiful park that includes Crissy Field, Fort Point, Lucasfilm’s (George Lucas) headquarters and the Walt Disney Museum.

Stop At: Fort Point National Historic Site, Long Ave & Marine Dr Building 999, San Francisco, CA 94129

Located just beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point gives you a front row seat to the Bay and is a great photo stop. This former military fortification was used during WWII.

Declared “one of the 10 wonders of the modern world, ” the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most recognized symbols of San Francisco. Simply stunning!

Stop At: Muir Woods National Monument, 1 Muir Woods Rd, Mill Valley, CA 94941-4205

Muir Woods National Monument is home to some of the oldest and most beautiful trees in the world. Many of our guests consider this stop to be the highlight of their trip.

Enjoy a quick and easy break, our guides provide plenty of recommendations for our favorite local spots during your visit. You are sure to fall in love with this quaint little town.

Stop At: Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, 3301 Lyon Street, San Francisco, CA 94123-1002

Originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exhibition, this urban temple has become a San Francisco treasure, beloved by residents and visitors alike.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Alcatraz Island, San Francisco, CA 94133

If you have selected the Alcatraz option, you will be dropped off at the Alcatraz terminal where you will depart on the ferry to the island. While used as a federal prison between 1933-1966, Alcatraz housed some of the most dangerous criminals of the time, including Al Capone, James "Whitey" Bulger and George "Machine Gun" Kelly. Featuring unbelievable views of the San Francisco peninsula, a visit to the island is essential when in town.

This tour was excellent and executed as advertised. I highly recommend this tour and 'Sully' as your tour guide. Sully was very knowledgeable of San Francisco, Sausalito, and the surrounding area. I would take this tour again!

From the start Sully was superb. A rich history as we went around and great to get a tour guide who clearly loves his job and the city! Some great stops along this tour and if your lucky enough to get Sully you will get a great load of history along the way. He plays some great music too!
