We go on food tours when we travel to learn about local culture, meet new people, and of course taste great food. This tour did not disappoint mostly because of our culinary and cultural guide Anastasia. She knew so much about the food in the area and the history of the area -- it was amazing. She was very organised often holding forth on multiple subjects during the same breath while coordinating with the owners of the place we were at and making sure the next place had things ready to go. It was very flexible able to change her plan when the group decided to do something different. Thank you again Anastasia for a great tour in a beautiful city.Giovanni was an excellent host. Giovanni was an excellent host. He showed us around many neighborhoods in Roma giving us the history while also describing food basics in Roma. It was a progressive dinner with appetizer, pizza, pasta, and desert! There is some walking so make sure you wear good walking shoes and pack a jacket if your tour will go into the night time. The tour takes around 3.5 hours. This is a must do!
