Overview
Our semi-private Pompeii day tours depart from Rome with pick up and drop off included at centrally hotels listed (limited to 7-8 people per vehicle).
This tour features a guided 2-hour walking tour of Pompeii combined with Positano & the scenic Amalfi Coast road. Lunch is included in a small, family-run restaurant, set in the hills and overlooking the magnificent Bay of Naples and Sorrento.
In Positano guests will have time to explore the lovely coastal village and its traditional shops, relax on the beach, have a swim and eat ice-cream.
Return to Rome by 6.45pm

- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately, comfortable walking shoes and a windbreaker are recommended.
- Each minivan accommodates seven/eight people.
- Infant seats are available on request if advised at time of booking (children who are under 36 kg/97 pounds or 150 cm/4ft 9 in, must use proper child restraints). We reserve the right to refuse infants or children if we are not notified at the time of the booking and if the car seats brought do not comply with requirements by Italian law
- In Pompeii enjoy a 2-hour guided tour with our local guide - for this portion of the tour there might be up to 23 people per guide
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- The tour includes pick up from listed hotels ( centrally located) . If you stay outside the city center (outside the Aurelian walls) there will be a central meeting place in Piazza Barberini in front of the Barberini Cinema – Please arrive at the central pick up point at 7am and pick up will be between 7:00am and 7:15am
- All passengers pay the same rate irrespectively from their age
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelers
- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 2 days of travel. In this case confirmation will be received within 48 hours, subject to availability

I cannot recommend this company enough! As a graduation gift to our son, we asked him to pick where he would like to travel to, he picked Rome. We spent eight days taking our time exploring the city. Marianna was our travel agent with Avventure Bellissime. Over the course of a couple of months she kindly and patiently helped us plan the perfect vacation. She was able to put together a personalized package within our budget of all the places we wanted to visit. Really can’t thank her enough! She is very knowledgeable and speaks very good English. All our tours were great, our tour guides were very friendly, excellent at teaching the history of each site, always on time, and all spoke very good English. Our first tour was the Small Group Essence of Rome Walking Tour, our guide was Barbara. She did a wonderful job teaching us about all the sites. Such a sweet lady. Our second tour was the Private Underground Rome and Catacombs Tour with Francesca. It was so fascinating exploring the remains underground. We met Francesca 11 years ago when my husband and I visited Rome for our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. We were so pleased to find out she still worked for Avventure Bellissime. We remembered her because she did such an excellent job. Meeting her again was like getting reacquainted with an old friend! 😊 She was so kind to our family. Our third tour was the Small Group Vatican tour with Sergio. We learned so much on this tour. Sergio took the time to sit down with us in the Vatican Museum courtyard and taught us so many fascinating things about the Vatican and all the art contained within. He used a book with many visuals to help him teach. My husband really liked the book and looked in several of the gift shops there to try to purchase one in English. They did not have any in English, so Sergio very kindly offered to give his book to my husband. We were really amazed by his generosity and it was such an honor to receive his book. We will remember and cherish his gift to us always. Our fourth tour was the Small Group Walking Tour of Ancient Rome and the Colosseum with Francesca again. It is hard to describe just how amazing it is to see these remains. Francesca did such an excellent job bringing it all to life. Our fifth tour was the Small group Pompeii, Positano and Amalfi Coast trip from Rome. This was an all day event. Max was our driver and tour guide. We had such a good time riding with him. He’s very personable and funny. He’s an excellent driver and we always felt safe. Pompeii is a must see, it’s such an interesting place. The Amalfi coast is beautiful! I will say if you get motion sick, be sure to bring your medicine. I completely forgot this important fact. I got very motion sick on the ride going around all the curves along the coast. Despite that, I still thoroughly enjoyed the journey. The restaurant we ate lunch at was a beautiful place with good food and friendly service. Max was also our driver from and back to the airport. He was always prompt and is very good at his job. He happily welcomed us when we arrived and genuinely said goodbye when we departed. Our entire experience was overwhelmingly great! I still can’t get over the expertise of all our tour guides, their knowledge and passion for Rome is truly remarkable. Thank you kindly and sincerely to Marianna, Barbara, Francesca, Sergio, and Max for such a wonderful memorable week in Rome. My mom and I were in Rome for three days and took the opportunity to do this day trip. It was worth it!! Best day of our entire vacation, in our opinion! We were with Achille and he was very fun and easy to talk to. He shared a lot about what we saw in each area and answered all of our questions....

We were with Achille and he was very fun and easy to talk to. He shared a lot about what we saw in each area and answered all of our questions. Pompeii was amazing. I believe our tour guide there was Gaetano (3rd generation tour guide there, with a 4th on the way). You could tell he was very passionate. He moved quickly, but that’s because he wanted us to see as much as possible. He clearly loved the history. The views on the coast and from lunch was beautiful! Beautiful towns! We had a lovely day!
