Get up close and personal with huskies as you enjoy a 5-7 km safary through snowy Finland. Cozy up behind a team of sleigh dogs, and ride through the beautiful Finnish forests. As a family of 6 people we booked the small group husky mushing experience 2 days in advance. The day before we received an email saying this tour was not available due to lack of snow and that they could offer a 1km husky ride and husky park experience with a refund for the original trip and a charge of €400 for the new trip, which we accepted. They knew there was no snow and should not have allowed the booking in the first place. We were collected in our hotel in Santa Village and literally driven around the corner to the husky park IN SANTA VILLAGE were we are staying (we walked home when the tour was over as it was faster) we then priced the same trip in our hotel which was €220!!! We were charged almost DOUBLE!!! I called the company and asked for a discount on discovery of this and was refused. When I advised I would write a review I was told that they would say it was fraud and have it removed!!! Then the man said I am done talking to you now. Considering as a family we had originally booked trips worth well over €1000 I find this treatment appalling. I would never use this company again and would advise others to book locally as you will be badly ripped off!!!Such an awesome experience! A real adventure out in the magical snowy countryside. Vraiment une expérience à ne pas manquer lors d’un voyage en Laponie. Le forfait comprend un tour d’environ 30 minutes en chien de traîneaux, suivi d’un petit tour de la ferme et d’explications sur le concept des longs trajets autour d’un bon feu et accompagné d’une boisson chaude. Nous avons également eu l’opportunité de sociabiliser avec un jeune chiot pour le familiariser aux clients. Pendant le tour, il est possible de s’arrêter afin d’échanger de poste avec son binôme (prendre le lead du traîneau ou s’installer dedans). C’était très sympa! Nous avons remarqué que c’était un peu moins bon marché que ce que proposent d’autres fermes, mais au moins l’expérience a été enrichissante du point de vue intellectuel également. Le personnel est sympathique et expérimenté, ce qui a contribué à la chouette ambiance. À essayer sans hésitation!A memorable experience for us as we come from a warm country. It becomes very cold on the sledge when it is snowing so one has to wear enough warm clothing. The winter gear and boots are provided by the tour operator.We booked this tour a couple days in advance, we then got a text saying that there wasn't enough snow for that particular tour and they could offer us a different tour, so we accepted in good faith. It turns out that the tour they offered us was actually in our resort, so they drove us about 40...
We booked this tour a couple days in advance, we then got a text saying that there wasn't enough snow for that particular tour and they could offer us a different tour, so we accepted in good faith. It turns out that the tour they offered us was actually in our resort, so they drove us about 400 meters and added a mark up in addition to actual price of the tour of €50 per adult and €20 per child. It was the 1 hour huskey ride in SCV. We contacted the operator once we realised what was happening, they told us that they wouldn't give us any money back, it worked out at almost double the price of the actual tour!Great arrangements for travel to the Husky farm received details of vehicle and driver who arrived on time. Great arrangements for travel to the Husky farm received details of vehicle and driver who arrived on time. Driven to the Husky farm which was a short drive from our hotel in Rovaniemi did the mushing experience partner in conrol of sledge and dogs and me and Harry (10) in the sledge this was in the words of a 10 year old "the best experience ever" Had time to pet the dogs and had an interesting talk on huskies and the farm with hot drinks and cookies. Fabulous experience would highly recommend
