We visit Antigua every year (when worldwide pandemics allow!) and I always like to find something new to do or to explore every trip. This year I discovered Trek Tours! Shawn was very helpful via email when it came to helping me choose the right hike for our fitness levels and on the day Rick was an excellent and very congenial companion and guide. We chose a Mango (medium) hike to Fort George. Rick picked us up from our hotel and it was just a short drive before we were out and making our way up to the fort. The climb up, all on dirt paths, was great as it got our heart rates up and would suit anyone of medium fitness. The views from the ruined fort were absolutely spectacular – we had all of Falmouth Harbour at our feet and then over to the east could see English Harbour, the slipway, Clarence House and Shirley Heights. Looking northwards, we could see the whole expanse of the island, including landmarks like the airport, St Johns, the reservoir and more. Rick could identify everywhere and told us lots about the history of the island and its development. We made our way down at a leisurely pace, chatting and taking in many other scenic views on the way. This was such a enjoyable way to spend a Saturday morning and as a special bonus we got to meet Rick's lovely son and chat to him too. Thank you for a very memorable hike in beautiful Antigua. We'll hope to see you again next year!Rick was a phenomenal tour guide! We selected the Carpenter Rock hike and it was fun, had amazing views, and after we enjoyed a local beer with Rick. My husband and I wanted to do a hike on our anniversary that was a bit off the beaten path, and this hike was exactly that. Thank you so much for an amazing time! The hike to Fort Berkeley was awesome, just the right amount of pace and distance. Nando was a awesome guide!
