The chateaus we visited were all spectacular and special in their own way. Lunch at one of these chateaus will go down as one of the best meals we've had the pleasure of enjoying!Thierry is a fountain of knowledge on all things relating to the wines of the southern Rhone. Great day with Emanuel as our guide in our own private sprinter van! We were able to visit a cooperative winery in Vacqueyras and try many wines. Then we went to a vineyard in Beaumes de Venise where we were taken on a tour of the winery as well as the vineyards with the owner himself! We then had a delicious lunch in Gigondas and had time to tour the hilltop town. Then went to another vineyard in Séguret and toured the winery. Lastly we were taken to Chateauneuf du pape where we were taught how to evaluate and taste wines at one of the many wineries! He also made sure to take time to stop along the way at different lookouts and important sites! Emanuel did not rush us and took time to take family photos. He was also great at sharing his knowledge on wines, the region, and history. Would recommend the full day tour so you have time to really enjoy the region and the wines.Jean Baptiste was our guide. He also provided us with a lot of information about the differences between the local wines. Would love to go back and do another tour of different vineyards with him. We all had a day to remember as well as a lot of wine to take back to the UK!
Fantastic time! JB was excellent throughout, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We had plenty of time to wander around a couple of villages as well as trying some great wines in the region. Learnt an awful lot about the wines and the area.

This trip was marketed as a private tour to "diverse wineries". We paid over $700 for what we thought would be a first-class experience. Instead, we were taken to 2 wine STORES, a MUSEUM and a chocolate STORE. When we asked to be taken to Chateau Mont-Redon to see an actual vineyard, which was literally just 10 minutes from the Chocolate Store, our driver initially refused, and only obliged after we brought up the google maps on our phone and demanded to be taken. We also had to PAY ADDITIONAL for entrance into the museum and to taste the wine at the Chocolate Store, which we refused. It was a horrible experience made worse by the fact that our driver drove ERRATICALLY and DANGEROUSLY and we did not feel safe. He also took us to his home town for lunch, where he left us alone for 2 hours. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. This is not a guide and it is most certainly not going to give you the experience you want to have for your vacation in Provence. I will say, I did request a refund for this experience, but the vendor only refunded about 30% of the total, which was incredibly disappointing.
