What to expect
Explore the Atlantic in search of marine wildlife with Marine Biologists on board, and learn more about dolphins in their natural habitat. Discover different species of cetaceans, birds and other marine life in an exciting experience in the Algarve !
Departing from Faro, you will be able to enjoy the landscape of Ria Formosa Natural park while we cruise towards the Atlantic ocean. When outside, the guides will look out for different wildlife, specially for cetaceans!
There are great chances to see dolphins like the Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) or the Common dolphin (Delphinus delphis) and if your are lucky we can even spot Orcas or whales.
During this trip you will also be able to spot different species of marine birds like the Northern Gannet (Morus bassanus), Shearwaters and Storm Petrels!
It is also common to see some other animals such as the Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola), Atlantic Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus thynnus) and some species of sharks or marine turtles.
After spotting a group of cetaceans, our team of Marine biologists will provide information about the animals and also collect data for research before we head back to Faro.

Wow what an amazing afternoon we had on this tour! Ran by two marine biologists who are very knowledgeable and passionate. We were out for almost 2 hours and hadn’t seen anything then found a dolphin group and it was just breathtaking; they came up to the boat and were swimming underneath and alongside the boat. The tour ended up running over quite a lot which I was super grateful for as we got to ride the boat with the dolphins and observe them for a perfect amount of time. Although we didn't see any dolphins we saw two sei whales up really close multiple times, which was breathtaking. The staff were friendly and knowledgable, sharing their expertise throughout the trip. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend! Thank you.

This excursion is one to do when You visit Faro.. Pedro and his crew are passionate about marine live and the environment. Eco-tourism at his best! We didn’t know it was actually possible to see whales and orca’s but we did see 2 whales and dolphins. They go out of their league for You to see it all. Our trip lasted 1.5 hours longer because we wanted to see the whales longer. Very chips friendly!! Tip; take warm clothes with You!
