The food was poor, the staff surly and the show was crap. Drinks were supposed to be included but weren't. Paid in £ sterling on an astonishingly bad exchange rate with no change.

Upon reading the description of this event, you imagine you’ll be eating a great Moroccan meal while watching a great variety show that demonstrates Moroccan culture in an authentic way. FUN FACT: dinner is NOT INCLUDED. If you want the dinner, (which is 500 Dirham per person for what looked to be an OK-quality tourist trap meal) you have to pay separately. To be fair, the lack of dinner is referenced in the “exclusions” section of the trip details, but when you read the description of the event and how it talks about tickets to a dinner show, it is misleading. The show itself was a bad mashup of Epcot Center in Orlando, a diner full of singing waitresses, and a county fair rodeo. The performances primarily consisted of amateur musicians playing hand drums around tables while people ate, and then demanding tips. The “feature” show mainly consisted of camels trotting around and men charging forward on horses and firing shotguns. For some reason, goats came out at the end and just meandered around. At least there were fireworks at the end. The place where the event was held, Chez Ali, felt like a classic tourist shakedown. Pay to get in. Pay outrageous tourist prices for food. Pay tips to performers that you already paid an entrance fee to see. Shame on me for not reading the description more carefully and checking the fine print. Shame on you if you make the same mistake!
