We had Leopold as a guide & thoroughly enjoyed his company. He was very informative, not just about Austrian history, but about world history as well. We enjoyed his sense of humor & conversation. I wouldn’t recommend the Salt Mines, as the guide there (not from Panorama, but from the Mines themself) did not speak English, & did not switch on all the translations for the audio guides. As such, we don’t know anything about the mines.We used this tour package on 24 April 2022 for the timing 14:00 to 18:00. If we correctly remember, the name of the guide is Andreas or so. He was extremely rude. I was having a chocolate drink at 13:50 pm. He kept saying that we are getting late and made me throw away the chocolate drink at 13:...
We used this tour package on 24 April 2022 for the timing 14:00 to 18:00. If we correctly remember, the name of the guide is Andreas or so. He was extremely rude. I was having a chocolate drink at 13:50 pm. He kept saying that we are getting late and made me throw away the chocolate drink at 13:55 (even though there was 5 minutes to start the trip). Throughout he was very rude and would not provide helpful information. Finally, he made us leave Bergtesgarden at 17:15 even though we could have spent 15 minutes more there. He kept saying that time is money; but never cared for the time of the guests. Avoid this tour guide at all cost.Went on this tour with my brother and niece, who are both interested in science and geology. We had a great time. The slides were the biggest hit.

The slides were the biggest hit.We were dropped off by our driver and when we were in the mine realised the tour guide only spoke in German. Apparently we should have been given an audio guide in English. No-one told us so we missed all the commentary. Very disappointed
