Good Intro/preview for a visit to Gettysburg. Reasonably priced. Staffed with nice people. Good selection of books, tee/sweat shirts, but not as “tacky” as some of the souvenir shops

Four of us on Monday, December 27, 2021 had an excellent three hour tour with Theresa. Theresa was personable, knowledgeable, and insightful. Her guidance prompted questions and her answers deepened our understanding of the three day battle and also the battlefield as it exists as a memorial to the war. We highly recommend Theresa and the Gettysburg Heritage Center.Even though we didn't get to see their Gettysburg movie, we really enjoyed reading the exhibits and seeing the other short films. Even though we didn't get to see their Gettysburg movie, we really enjoyed reading the exhibits and seeing the other short films. It works out perfectly to tour the museum, as soon as it opens, and then to take the audio driving tour of the Battlefields, right after the museum tour. The museum was definitely worth the price and the gift shop had a lot of interesting items. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back as soon as they reopen in Spring 2022. We have heard the Gettysburg movie is really good, so we will definitely be back to see that.We never went. We ended up at the big museum near the battlefield. I couldn’t find my confirmation to see where I was supposed to go. It would’ve been very nice to have the text from you yesterday instead of just getting a request for response today.

A nice exhibit on how the townspeople experienced the battle but not what the website makes it out to be.
