The scenery is wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed the dog sled ride and learning about the Iditirod race. Shame the ride wasn't actually on snow but this is the summer training camp and the next best thing. What a day!Excellent look into the life of a person training for the Iditarod. So informative. Puppies were beautiful and all the dogs are cared for very well. I’d go back for another visit.

The drive up to the Caribou Crossing in the Yukon was full of breathtaking views of the vast nature along the north eastern tip of BC Canada and the southern part of the Yukon. The best part was the knowledge and enthusiasm of the driver Bryan Terrell. His own story was very inspiring, in terms of how he came to live in Skagway. The info he shared of Skagway (best k-12 school in AK) made me want to move my family up there. Skagway was my favorite town of the 3 Alaskan stops we made on the Ruby Princess cruise in the first week of August, mostly because of the culture that I learned of from Bryan. I love the fact that there is no crime, and that everyone knows everyone, literally. Thank you for the amazing excursion to the Dog Sledding site. It was so awesome learning about the Iditarod races (1,000 mile race in the snow). The race dog puppies were beyond cute! I highly recommend this tour!My wife, granddaughter and I signed up for this tour to experience a dog sled mushing experience at a musher's summer training camp. My wife, granddaughter and I signed up for this tour to experience a dog sled mushing experience at a musher's summer training camp. The dog mushing part of the trip was wonderful, but we got so much more. Our guide, Brian, was extremely knowledgeable, experienced and personable. He gave us a great feel for the area, how the residents cope during harsh winters, and exuded his love for the environment. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day that all of us highly recommend.Seeing the care the trainers and sled drivers have for these dogs in the summer and riding on a sled pulled by them was awesome! These dogs love what they do and that makes participating in this ride very worthwhile.

Bryan Terrell was our driver and guide for this drive from Skagway to Caribou Crossing in the Yukon. He did an exceptional job telling us about the history of that area of Canada and life in Alaska in general as we drove to and from Skagway to the dog mushing site. He was very considerate of everyone on the drive, took every opportunity to stop when we spotted wildlife to take pictures (we saw a mama bear and her two cubs on the drive), and stopped on multiple occasions for us to take pictures of the landscape. I would definitely recommend him as your guide. The landscape itself was breathtaking and we had a great time riding in a dog "sled" (it was a large ATV because it was summer) and spending time with the puppies. Highly recommended.
