The alternative to this tour was a train that had to stop at the Canadian border but our bus tour led by Brian crossed the Cdn border into British Columbia and then further north into the Yukon. The bus is definitely the better choice. Brian was extremely knowledgeable and very flexible for photo opps, bio breaks, etc. We had lunch at Caribou Crossing, Yukon which had a very impressive wildlife museum, gift shop, and petting zoo. Do this instead of the train! We loved it! The train doesn’t stop for bear sightings. We stopped twice, including once for a bear right outside the bus windows. The train currently stops at the border. The bus goes all the way to Carcross in the Yukon Territory. This tour includes lunch. In addition to the bear stops, we pulled over another half dozen times for photos. The tour guide took pictures of every couple and family at every stop. You don’t get that on the train.Dennis the tour guide and driver was very knowledgeable about the area. We had rainy weather but the scenery was fantastic.
