Stop At: Palazzo Pubblico e Torre Grossa, Piazza del Duomo, San Gimignano Italy

You will also have the chance to savour the best gelato of San Gimignano, on the location where the acclaimed “Tea with Mussolini” was filmed. On your free time another suggestion would be to enter and visit the little history museum of San Gimignano, which hosts the true reproduction of the XIV century tower.
In between the two Medieval Villages you will visit a famous wine cellar where the winemaker will introduce you to his products. You will have a guided sampling of the unique Chianti white wine Vernaccia and the Chianti DOCG, paired with delicacies such as bruschettas with and pecorino cheese.

Stop At: Piazza del Campo, 53100, Siena Italy
After the wine sampling we will reach Siena, the wonderful medieval village built among hills. Here our expert tour leader will lead you to the center of the city, passing through the narrow medieval streets until we reach one of the most remarkable medieval squares in Europe, the Piazza del Campo, with its shell-shaped formation, characteristic of the ancient theaters. We had a truly wonderful experience on this guided tour of two historic and interesting cities. Our tour guide Valerie was very knowledgeable about Tuscan landscapes, agriculture, history, local produce and wines. She was really friendly and made our trip so relaxing and fun. The tour guide who took us around Siena took us off the beaten track and showed us some hidden views of the city. Also very knowledgeable about the Palio which had taken place the week before, the locals were still celebrating and parading flags wearing traditional costume around the main square - quite an atmosphere! The wine and food tasting was within the winery where we sat at tables laid out for the occasion. We were surrounded by the oak barrels full of maturing wines. It was an enjoyable experience hearing about the wines and local produce.Recently took this tour with Valerie our tour guide. It was a lovely small group with only 5 others on the tour with us. Recently took this tour with Valerie our tour guide. It was a lovely small group with only 5 others on the tour with us. We had just missed the Palio di Siena horse race, as it was held the day before our arrival in Siena. However our tour guide through Siena, Barbara was so friendly and knowledgeable as she took us through the streets and different districts of Siena. We got to witness the district of the dragon parading around the town after their victory in the race the day before! As it was 38 degrees on the day of pur tour Valerie kept us hydrated with bottles of water and some beautiful and traditional ricciarelli di siena biscuits during our tour. Afterwards we headed to San Gimignano and on towards our wine tasting at a local vineyard. All locations were stunning, the food was delicious, the wine I'm sure for wine lovers was delicious, but I'm not a fan myself. However, it was organised for me to have a little taste of the local Grappa at the vineyard. This is whiskey made from the pomace of the grapes and is really worth the try if you visit! Overall the day was amazing and it was at a comfortable pace with no rushing around. Our local guides were friendly and knowledgeable. However Valerie herself was truly amazing. So warm, welcoming, friendly and full of information. I would recommend any tour with her as she was such a joy to be around and we will return for another spin with her someday soon I hope! Valeria was exceptional! She was an awesome guide with great humor offering us alot of information as we drive to and from San Gimingano and Siena. She was thoughtful for all levels of mobility in our group and assisted us in our wine tasting knowledge! On the way back she helped us find an open grocery store late in a Sunday for some necessities! The tour was wonderful. But Valeria was exceptional! Her enthusiasm made the trip for our group!
