Route Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Katakolo Port - 2 minutes from your cruise ship exit you will find our busses at the cruise terminal parking lot
- Agiou Charalampous 16 - After 30 min rides we reach the main central Square of Pirgos Town
- MCCR+F6 Pyrgos - Archaeological Museum of Pyrgos
- Katakolo - We arrive back to the the picturesque port village of Katakolo where you can stroll around the bay , enjoy a drink at the local cafes , swim at he small beach near the pier or head directly back to the cruise ship.

As a cruise ship destination, Katakolo is the gateway to Olympia, but the port and its neighbor Pyrgos (the county capital) themselves are delightful and informative. Having explored Olympia on a previous visit and wishing to avoid another crowded historical site/ museum, we chose the Hop-on. We enjoyed the Sunday morning ambience in Pyrgos’s central square and Memorial Park, the views over the bay, and the small jewel of the very well done regional archeological museum. The bus audio was a bit cranky (volume control stuck on the loud side, and the channels were a bit askew) but we figured it out. Efcharisto!There are not many stops, but for the amount we paid, it was worth it. This is a small town with a few cool places to visit. Check it out!
