Highly recommend checking this out if you are in Seward. Worth the drive from anchorage to Seward(it’s a beautiful drive anyways)! 10/10 will be back for another tour next time we are in ak.Seward was the last stop on our Alaska Land Tour and decided to do this pre-cruise excursion since we had most of the day before our Holland America cruise departed at 8:00 PM. Seward was the last stop on our Alaska Land Tour and decided to do this pre-cruise excursion since we had most of the day before our Holland America cruise departed at 8:00 PM. We took the earlier schedule and left on a shuttle that dropped us off at the wharf and didn’t have to deal with our luggage as it would be transferred to the ship and deposited in our cabin. The catamaran ride was very stable with everyone able to enjoy the views either from inside or on the observation deck. Free apples were available if feeling seasick. You can watch your vessel’s route on the digital map. Our day out was sunny and saw many wildlife, whales, puffins, sea lions and otters. Don’t forget the binoculars and water. The captain provided commentary of life and sights in the Kenai Peninsula and Park. Remember the sunscreen if you plan to enjoy the cruise outside. We spent a lot of time observing the Northwestern Glacier and saw it caving. When you board, you might want to stake out your seats inside, as we learned other passengers had spread themselves out with their belongings taking up any extra seats for anyone to sit down. A box lunch is included and included a chicken wrap, chips, granola bar and fresh baked cookies. The ship crew was friendly and helpful and made the 6-hr trip one to remember. The crew was Great, from start to finish. They made sure we could get great pics of the whales. We saw sealions and the glacier was fantastic .
