Semi-Private Heraklion Wine Country Tour
Overview
Hop on board of our van for this exciting wine tour, where you will dive into the world of Cretan indigenous grapes and explore some of the region’s most beautiful sceneries and vineyards. You will visit two authentic Cretan wineries, their vineyards and cellar and learn about their story, tradition, and philosophy. After the full wine tasting at the first winery, you will indulge in an amazing wine and food pairing lunch experience at the second winery, with a typical Cretan lunch prepared for you by a local taverna.
We will pick you up and drop you off with the other guests at a central meeting point, GDM Megaron Hotel, in Heraklion City Center.

Stop At: Domaine Paterianakis, Heraklion, Crete 71003 Greece
We start our escape with a wine tasting at the family owned Paterianakis Winery in the heartland of Heraklion's wine making region. The winery is run by the Paterianakis sisters and they can be spotted around the premises making wonderful wines! Your private wine guide will walk you through the tasting, and very often the wine makers introduce the wines to their guests.
We'll also be visiting hidden gems in and around the area such as Byzantine churches and historical monuments.

Stop At: Titakis Wines- Fabrika Wine Experience, Kounavoi Irakleiou Kritis Archanon-Asterousion, Kounavi, Crete 70100 Greece
Visit the amazing Titakis winery, where you will learn everything about the Cretan grapes in the showroom vineyard, understand the process of winemaking in the Concrete Village of tanks, and discover the history of this family-owned winery. You will then indulge in a 5-courses meal of traditionnal Cretan dishes proposed especially to match the 5 wines served.

Tym razem zwiedzałam wspaniały winiarski Heraklion. Wycieczka była super, widziałam część wyspy, która nie byłaby możliwa do zobaczenia na własną rękę. Helena, która oprowadzała wycieczkę to wspaniałą osoba, jej profesjonalizm i wiedzę było widać na każdym kroku. If I could give this experience 10 stars, I would happily! It was the perfect day. Helena and Marie are the most lovely, energetic, passionate and fascinating people. They have a real gift for hospitality and this was apparent from the moment they picked me up from my hotel. They arrived right on time, we started talking right away and never stopped. This is Helena’s family business and she has such wonderful insights about Crete. Marie is so impressive with her wealth of knowledge of wine (she grew up on a winery in France where her mother was the first female wine maker in the region!) They are a perfect pair! They hand pick all the wineries and have a special relationship with all of the winemakers which makes the tastings and tours so much more fun and impactful. Getting to meet and learn from the winemakers themselves was such a treat. Maria at Titakis Wines was so wonderful and spent hours with us touring her family winery. The food was outstanding and perfectly paired with copious amounts of wine. I left very full, slightly buzzed and extremely happy. This is an absolute must do when visiting Crete.
