What to expect
Entry level Certified Divers learn to safely dive with a buddy to a depth of 60'. Certification is good for life and recognized in any dive shop the world over. Training takes place in a pool, from shore and offshore from a boat in a typical class.

- No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
- Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
- Students need to complete a medical questionnaire that may require a Doctors approval prior to the class.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

Boat diver cert on an in-shore wreck charter, could not have been a better experience! They worked with my difficult schedule to get me on the boat, the shop and boat staff were easy to work with and I learned a lot during my certification, with definitely be back! Also, worth mentioning they canceled an in-shore trip due to weather. If you don’t already know, this is a GOOD thing! No sense in risking safety or a miserable experience just to make a day’s pay, these people are pro’s and have their priorities in line. Major respect. Give them a call!These divers place your safety and enjoyment above all else. They made sure we were all comfortable in the water before going into the open ocean. We also got to explore 2 wrecks for our final dive, which I hear is unusual for your open qater certification. 10/10 will go again!

I had a fantastic experience getting my open water cert w/ panama city diving. Ben was my instructor, and he was super knowledgeable, but kept the training light and fun. I felt very safe the whole time, and feel really confident in everything we learned. I did the certification in January and it was def a bit on the colder side, but it was manageable. The pool part was heated, and the shop has wetsuits you can use. All in all, highly recommend!A perfect experience from the first phone call! We'll be back! After I did, I thought what a dumb idea; it's winter and we're in the middle of a pandemic. After a few conversations with Walter and every single one of my questions and concerns addressed, I was convinced it was the perfect gift! My daughter had nothing but praise for her entire experience. Thanks Panama City Diving!got open water certified with Ben! Felt completely comfortable and at ease and safe and had fun doing it. From booking to questions to checking in, everyone at Panama City Diving was helpful and knowledgeable. Walter and Woody were excellent instructors, knowledgable, flexible, and accommodating.
