However the guide and driver were very nice and informative! And it was exactly what we wanted to do… see the island and learn about it

Looking foward to see her again hopefully in the near future.

We hired a ‘buggie’ to your the island. The island is not very big and there is not much to do unless you like water sports. There is a lot of black history and you get a good feel of the culture and how slavary impacted. Some of the local people are not very friendly and can seem a little rude , but having said that there were some really nice hospitable people too. Two days is more than enough to do everything and enjoy the island. Unless you just want a relaxing break doing nothing. The island has a lot of potential so it is a shame that it has not been developed to make it more attractive. It has some nice shops in the central part and lovely places to swim. The trips to the little islands was ‘ok’ but getting on and off the boats was terrible. We met some lovely people from different places in south and Central America who are able to speak English since the tour guides only spoke Spanish. The communication could have been much better since when we booked our tour, what we was told was different from what we experienced.
