Stop At: Coachella Valley Preserve, 29200 Thousand Palms Canyon Road, Palm Springs, Greater Palm Springs, CA
Here your adventure makes it's first stop at the 3rd largest Oasis in the world. Here you will walk over a bridge that straddles the actual faultline. 30 minutes are spent here where there is about a half mile trail you can optionally take with your guide. Restrooms are also located here before we venture far into the wilderness.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: San Andreas Fault, Palm Desert, Greater Palm Springs, CA
We travel by Hummer into the mouth of a canyon that was formed by the San Andreas Fault.
Here the adventure in your Hummer begins and we follow a road many Jeeps will need to return. 1.5 billion year old rocks are in this canyon that date back to the bottom of the Grand Canyon!
The scenery is mind-bending as you see the tortured rock formations beneath the cobalt blue skies of the high desert.

I’m an LA native and have been to Palm Springs many times. First time I’ve ever done a tour here (have done similar tours in Arizona). What a fantastic experience! Our driver/guide Josh was unbelievably engaging and one of the most knowledgeable tour guides I have ever encountered. We did a 3 hour tour and i wished we’d done the 5 hour with him. I learned so much while having a lot of laughs and enjoying Joshua Tree’s beautiful scenery. Will definitely come back and do another tour - hopefully with Josh. Totally worth the time and money!!!We had a great tour with Josh. He was very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. Be ready for some wind and cold air - we went out from 3:30-6:30 or so - perfect amount of time. The wildflowers were BOOMING! Highly recommend.

Fantastic time spent with Gary, our guide, today. We rode in an enclosed Hummer with nice AC. He provided iced down waters and snacks. Gary was very knowledgable and shared lots of information about the San Andreas Fault and Joshua Tree National Park. We stopped to walk through an oasis which was very interesting. He told us all about the plants in the area as well as the rock formations through the Park. We stopped and had a delicious lunch on our way back. My daughter and I would highly recommend taking this tour and request Gary if you can. Fun day!!!We had received an email stating we would not be able to go to the faults during the month of May. They did however substitute the Oasis with another. The trip was awesome. We enjoyed the tour guide "Blonde Josh" so much . Had little corny jokes that kept us laughing the hole trip. Josh was al...

We enjoyed the tour guide "Blonde Josh" so much . Had little corny jokes that kept us laughing the hole trip. Josh was also very knowledgeable. He was full of all types of fun facts about the area we were in and also the Hummer., The ride in the Hummer was great and really comfortable even for us old folks at 53, lol Josh even takes the best pictures of usI was called the mooring of the tour that the hammer was taken for repair and not be available for the 3PM scheduled tour. I was called the mooring of the tour that the hammer was taken for repair and not be available for the 3PM scheduled tour. I was told If I would be available at 4PM. I agreed We was scheduled to meet at a location 30 mins from my hotel ( no hotel pick-up). While I was in a Uber with the four other people scheduled for the trip, I received a phone call asking if I was available the next day. I informed them that I had other plans so to reimbursement the cost of the tour for four ( I am still waiting for that reimbursement). I asked if I would get reimbursed for the Uber trip to and from the designated location for pick-up and drop-off, of course no response.
