Departure from the city by Cerrillos, El Carril, Pulares, La Quebrada de Escoipe is the anteroom for the winding Cuesta del Obispo, reaching its highest point at the Piedra del Molino 3348 masl. This high point represents a gate between two valleys: that of Lerma (lower and more temperate) and the Calchaquíes (between cords of the foothills, around 1200 meters higher and more arid). Then, continuing along the Straight of Tin Tin, of a strange construction built at an altitude of 3000 meters, in Inca times, and stopping at Los Cardones and Payogasta National Park, to the typical colonial town of Cachi, on the margins of the Calchaquí River. at 2210 meters above sea level at the foot of the Nevado de Cachi. The picturesque town is surrounded by hills and mountains belonging to the Precordillera de Los Andes. It has a colonial style, mixed with what its primitive inhabitants left behind. It has a central plaza surrounded by cobbled streets and houses with stone bases, adobe walls covered with white lime and sand, wrought iron grills, roofs of cactus or reed covered with mud. The excursion visits the Archaeological Museum and the parish church. Return to Salta on the same road.

Cachi es un pueblito muy pintoresco, vale la pena visitarlo! El camino para llegar, es por la cuesta del obispo! El paisaje deja sin palabras... podriamos decir q la mitad es asfaltado y la otra mitad ripio. Pero un ripio es muy buenas condiciones. Es un camino para hacer despacio y paseando, ya ...

Cómo puse en el título, llegar hacia Cachi es una gran aventura. Desde que salís de Salta ya te topaa con hermosos paisajea de cada pueblo que vas pasando. Se pone aún mejor cuando pasas Chicoana y emprendes la subida hacia la cuesta del obispo, tan majestuosa que lo vas a poder creer para luego ...
Cómo puse en el título, llegar hacia Cachi es una gran aventura. Desde que salís de Salta ya te topaa con hermosos paisajea de cada pueblo que vas pasando. Se pone aún mejor cuando pasas Chicoana y emprendes la subida hacia la cuesta del obispo, tan majestuosa que lo vas a poder creer para luego tomarse un descanso en la piedra del molino y luego ya encontrarse con la recta de Tin Tin y su parque nacional Los cardones para así algunos kilómetros más llegar al pueblo de Cachi encerrado entre cerros y quebradas, un pueblo al que parece el tiempo no lo ha tocado.Betina S
