What to expect
Itinerary
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Maria between 1 pm and 1:30 pm. From here, we'll drive to our first destination of the day, the eastern part of the island to visit Shark Bay and see its famous lemon sharks up close. Here you'll be able to enjoy a 20-minute observing lemon sharks swimming around you.
Afterwards, we'll visit the nearby village of Pedra de Lume, which was the first settlement on the island of Sal. Here we'll see its ancient dwellings and learn about the importance of the salt industry for the development of the island through objects and instruments used to extract this chemical compound.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Pedra de Lume salt lake, the only salt lagoon in the world located in the caldera of a dormant volcano. You'll be impressed by the variety of colours of the landscape. Finally, we'll visit the cable car that was once used to transport the salt extracted from Pedra de Lume.
Finally, we'll be back at your hotel in Santa Maria at 5 pm.

Ich hatte am Vorabend kurzfristig gebucht. Da ich noch Tauchen wollte, bin ich nur mit zu den Zitronenhaien und den Salinas. Ich wurde überpünktlich abgeholt. Zuerst haben wir einen Halt bei den Haien gemacht. Wasserschuhe konnte man für 2€ bzw. 200Esc ausleihen. Anschließend erhielten wir ein ku...

Zuerst haben wir einen Halt bei den Haien gemacht. Wasserschuhe konnte man für 2€ bzw. 200Esc ausleihen. Anschließend erhielten wir ein kurzes Briefing und dann durften wir zu den kleinen Haien laufen. Nach ca. 15 Minuten ging es wieder zurück an den Strand. Anschließend sind wir zu den Salinas gefahren. Es sind 5€ Eintritt zu entrichten. Wir solltenkonnten mindestens 20 Minuten in Salzwasser baden. Toiletten und Duschen sind vorhanden. Ich wurde an einem Treffpunkt abgeholt und zurück zum Hotel gefahren. Die restliche Gruppe ist noch Mittagsessen und zum Blue Hole gefahren. Ich habe 30€ bezahlt. Insgesamt war die Tour sehr gut organisiert. Natürlich auch sehr touristisch. In Sal landen die Tui Flieger und man sieht auch viele Tui Busse.MrMcD0

So very good again. Really do enjoy hanging out with this group. We did the turtles with them and now this tour which ended up being more like a private tour in an air conditioned Toyota. Sitting there watching buses and pick ups go by ladened with sweat and tour guides not able to speak with ...
So very good again. Really do enjoy hanging out with this group. We did the turtles with them and now this tour which ended up being more like a private tour in an air conditioned Toyota. Sitting there watching buses and pick ups go by ladened with sweat and tour guides not able to speak with everyone made us feel very special. We would have gladly paid much more. Gill/Jill, our guide was so pleasant and friendly. He was very attentive to ensure we got good pictures and was happy to take as long as was needed to see all we wanted to see. Seeing the sharks with just us three and a local guide was excellent. There were other crowded groups all trying to see yet we were stood there, set apart, with many sharks swimming about our legs. Loved it. What a great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.KEPHREN924

Véhicule comfortable,nous sommes une famille de dix.. Chauffeur et guide parfaits. Nous ont trouvé un emplacement privilegié de pique-nique et nous ont aidé dans l'achat de victuailles. Pas du tout pressé par le timing !

Wir haben heute die Salinen und die Shark Bay besucht. Von den Salinen sind wir zum Shark Bay zu Fuß gelaufen. Auf dem Weg kamen wir an der Bar Pilone in Pedra de Lume vorbei. Da wir Hunger hatten, setzen wir uns hinein. Die Bar ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Die Wirtin kochte ein ganz fantastisches ...

Het was een erg leuke ochtend met een zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gids. We hebben zowel de toeristische plekken en de armste plekken van het eiland gezien. Vooral het bezoek aan de haaien was bijzonder.
