We were enjoying this cruise as part of our 28th anniversary trip! Capt. Jack gave us a shout out and we received a round of applause and cheers from fellow passengers! A crew member took our photo… we learned a bit of Sacramento River history as well as enjoyed Our captain’s entertaining delivery, including his silly pirate jokes! A fun way to spend an hour enjoying a cocktail and cool breezes! This is to short of a ride and they need to look for more things to show you and give a history of the river as well as it's impacts on growth in earlier times. It just does 'es not seem worth the money but it could be with a little more effort on there part.

This cruise is called Historic River Cruise, but there wasn't all that much history. On the day our group traveled (Sat, Oct 12, 2019 at noon), the narrator kept giving us bad information and then said "Just kidding". The first joke was funny (You are on a 9-hour cruise to San Francisco), but after that, it just became annoying and we didn't know whether to believe him. At one point, he went on and on about a nearby boat owner who looked like David Hasselhoff and let's all look at him. Hornblower needs more outdoor seating on this boat. Not everyone wants to sit inside and chow down. Also, they should re-write the script to make it more historical, interesting, and accurate!
