We run half-day sessions throughout the year, using high quality facilities and equipment. You’ll get the chance to row in a coxed eight boat, just like the crews in the world-famous Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race.

What to expect
That 'wow' factor from start to finish!
We start the experience with an introduction at City of Cambridge Rowing club.This is followed by a half an hour session on the clubs rowing machines (ergs), working on timing and technique. We then put the technique into practice by taking an 'eight' boat out and affixing this to the side of the river where participants are then able to perform the rowing stroke on the water.
Once we feel confident that you are able to follow instructions carefully, we will head back to the boathouse to fetch all the remaining blades. Quick picture moment and then its straight onto the river where you get a full hour of rowing on the River Cam!

The 3 hours long taster session was very technical and fun at the same time. It allows to experience this beautiful discipline and to learn solid basis for future rowing trainings. No surprise that Omar has excellent reviews only, absolutely deserved!Absolutely amazing! I was planning to do this as a one off, but I really caught the rowing bug. Omar explains everything really well and everyone is new to rowing so it’s very inclusive. This was my first time in a rowing eight, having wanted to try rowing for a while. We started off with a short indoor session on the Ergs (rowing machines) to get the basic technique right and were then taken out to the riverside to get familiar with the boat and oars. We were on the water very quickly, and had a great introduction to the technique of rowing an eight on the Cam. Omar is a great teacher; clear with his instructions, forgiving of errors and very enthusiastic. I’ll be booking follow-up training sessions as soon as I can fit them in,
