What to expect

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Pass By: Piazza della Repubblica, Rome Italy

Begin your tour in one of Rome's most central and bustling squares, Piazza della Repubblica, enjoying beautiful views of the Thermal Baths of Diocletian and Santa Maria deli Angeli e dei Martiri

Pass By: Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore 42, 00185 Rome Italy

As you begin your Golf Cart Tour, you will drive down the bustling street of Via Cavour and zoom by the gorgeous and grandiose Santa Maria Maggiore, one of Rome's four cardinal churches. Did you know it is one of Rome's most ancient churches?

Pass By: Circus Maximus, Via del Circo Massimo, 00186 Rome Italy

Hop back on your cart and circle all around the Colosseum, for a wonderful 360 view. Zoom by the impressive Arch of Triumph of Constantine and see the Roman Forum from a different vantage point. Ride down the beautiful Via di San Gregorio, where you will have the Palatine Hill to your right and the Celio hill to your left, and even see (and ride under!) an impressive above ground ancient Roman aqueduct. This will lead you up to the top of Circus Maximus, the largest stadium ever built by the Romans. Hear the stories of Rome's very early beginnings, and enjoy an incredible view of the Imperial Villas on the Palatine Hill overlooking the Circus Maximus.

Pass By: Colle Aventino, Rome Italy

Now that you heard the story of how Rome came to be, hop back on your ride and drive up the beautiful Aventine Hill. One of the proverbial 7 hills of Rome, this hill is truly a sight for sore eyes, with an incredible view of Rome's city center. And it holds a very special surprise, but that is best left for the tour itself... ;)

Pass By: Piramide Cestia, Via Raffaele Persichetti, 00153 Rome Italy

Once down from the Aventine, zoom down Viale Aventino and you will see something you certainly didn't expect: a Pyramid! "in Rome?", you might ask? Well, yes indeed. Rome truly has it all! Learn about the history of the Piramide Cestia and awe at the incredile Aurelian Walls. In fact, from here you will have a wonderful view of one of Rome's most important entry doors, Porta Ostiense, where you can really get a sense of what the fortifications surrounding the city must have looked like.

Pass By: Piazza della Bocca della Verita, 18 Santa Maria in Cosmedin, Rome Italy

Continue through Testaccio, a neighborhood known for being the birthplace for some of Rome's most quintessential recipes, and ride on to the infamous Mouth of Truth. The story behind this Roman legend says that whomever places their hand in its Mouth, and says a lie, will have their hand bitten off. Good thing you will only be zooming by on your Golf Cart!

Pass By: Piazza del Campidoglio, Rome Italy

Phew! still got both hands? Good! Continue your ride up Via del Teatro Marcello and arrive at the base of the Capitol Hill, the Campidoglio, centre of Ancient Rome and still today the seat of the Mayor. This hill is where it all began.
Learn about the tales of this hill, the temples that once decorated it, and how it came to be the beautiful Renaissance piazza that it is today, complete with an impressive staircase by none other than Michelangelo.

Pass By: Piazza Venezia, 00187 Rome Italy

Circle around the incredible piazza Venezia, where you will see the monumental Altar to the Country, otherwise known as Vittoriano, learn the history behind this enormous monument, and why the romans came up with its many nicknames

Pass By: Area Sacra di Largo Argentina, Via di S. Nicola de' Cesarini, 00186 Rome Italy

Once you've circled around Piazza Venezia, it is time to dive into the tiny streets of Rome's center. Dive back into Ancient Rome and ride to Largo Argentina. Here you will see the very site where Julius Caesar lost his life at the hands of conspiring senators.

Pass By: Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna, 00187 Rome Italy

Continue through the tiny winding streets (good thing your guide knows where to go!), and see the beautiful Piazza di Spagna. Indeed, this tour would not be complete without a visit to the Spanish Steps, Rome's most famous and impressive staircase.

Pass By: Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Trevi, 00187 Rome Italy

Zip some more through the quaint Rione Trevi, and you will be at the one and only Trevi Fountain, the world's most famous fountain. Learn the stories behind its conception and construction, and of course, throw a coin! Don't know why? No worries! Your guide will tell you all about this fun superstitious tradition.

Pass By: Pantheon, Piazza della Rotonda, 00186 Rome Italy

Your tour would not be complete without a stop to admire the world's most well preserved Ancient Roman temple: the Pantheon. This incredible monument, still fully standing, and in use as a Church since the 6th century, is a favorite of tourists and locals alike. A wonderfully preserved testimony to the beauty, splendor and grandeur of Roman Architecture.

Andy was a fantastic guide!! Without the things Andy shared and explained to us, there’s no way we would’ve learned so much about Rome in such a little time.
